It was a lovely day, and my coding was going nowhere.
I actually tried to figure out the VR thing again, but .. It's really odd.
I can either.
A) Have my left controller show up, and the buttons works fine, but only for the left controller.
or
B) Have both controllers show up, but none of the buttons work.
Hmm.
Curious.

I've asked all the chatbots I can find, and nothing seems to be giving me any sort of clue as to what's going on.
At this point, I might have to *gasp* R.T.F.M., but who does that any more?
Come on, Chatbot's. Bring me some working code!

SoCoder had/has one. It was somewhat active for an incredibly short while before I realised that the only people using it were people already on the forum, and that made the whole thing entirely redundant.
Why not just rewrite the old MudChat chatroom that was in the older version of the site, and bring that back to life, instead of having to have this disjointed Discord, "over there"..
So that's what I did, and within a few short hours, the old MudChat was up and running on SoCoder, because that's where SoCoder's chatroom oughta be.

Might it be a good idea for AGameAWeek to have a discord?
Perhaps..

Could you imagine how many sections would have to be in that discord!!?!

And each section would be spammed to death, daily. I know this due to the amount of Comment Spam the site's already getting!
Gah! Moderators required!?! Eeek!

Might be nice, though.

Meanwhile, Meanwhile...

The TV's been "glitching".
When the last TV died on it's arse, last September, we opted to grab a cheap Amazon FireTV to hold us over.
It "works", but the software is TERRIBLE. It's running a form of Amazon-Android, so you just know it's got awful stuff going on in the background. But man, is it ever slow.
Even changing channels takes about 4 seconds, and if you're trying to skip from, say Channel 5 (Literally channel 5) down to BBC One (channel 1), then it can take about half a minute to get there.
That's NOT good.
Nor is the occasional glitch when the TV Digital Decoding software can't keep up with itself, and you get an annoying flicker between two vastly different frames. Like, any time there's a cut between two scenes in a TV show. And .. That happens a lot!! And each time, you get this jittery three-frame thing, where it shows a frame from Scene A, then a frame from Scene B, then Scene A again before settling in on Scene B.

These are the things they don't warn you about in the reviews.
Hopefully the new one coming tomorrow will be better than this.
I now need to figure out the best way to sell the craptastic FireTV without giving the game away about how craptastic it is.

.. Oh, and 100% be sure that it's "formatted", cleared out, and has no record of my Amazon Account, before I do get rid of it.
