I went a completely different route from when I started this week's game.
-=-=-
The original Monopoly-Mini is on hold, as it seems to consistently end up being, alongside The Quest.. Not sure why I can't ever seem to find my footing with either of those games.
Hmm.
In the meantime, then, I made a game with bunnies and bikes and bombs.
Because who doesn't love Bunnies? And if you don't, then you probably love Bikes.
And if you don't love Bunnies or Bikes, then you're bound to love Bombs!
I mean, really, this game can't possibly fail to take off. There's no reason whatsoever for it not to!!
I'll be a millionaire by next July. .. Then I might be able to afford one of the new iPhones they announced yesterday.
Hurray!
Fame and fortune awaits.
I'll post the game later on today. Need to add some audio, music, then do all the boring stuff (Youtube, screenshots, assets, etc)
But, yeah, I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
Woot!
[chorus]
I went a completely different route
from when I started this week's game.
The Monopoly Mini is now on hold,
Until I'm ready to make it as good as my aim.
[verse]
I made a game with bunnies
and bikes and bombs together.
Because who doesn't love Bunnies?
Or Bikes or Bombs. Whatever.
[break]
[chorus]
I went a completely different route
from when I started this week's game.
The Monopoly Mini is now on hold,
Until I'm ready to make it as good as my aim.
[verse]
Really, this game can't possibly fail.
There's no reason for that at all.
I'll be a millionaire by next July.
Then maybe buy a brand new iPhone.
[bridge]
(Hurray!)
Fame and fortune awaits.
[break]
[chorus]
I went a completely different route
from when I started this week's game.
The Monopoly Mini is now on hold,
Until I'm ready to make it as good as my aim.
[verse]
I'll post the game later on today.
Need to add some audio, music, and more.
Then do all the Youtube, assets, screenshots.
I swear this bit's a bore.
[outro]
But, yeah, I'm quite happy with how it turned out.
Woot!
[Dave is standing by the wall, marker in hand, having just scribbled "Zen" next to a freshly reset counter. Green enters, looking puzzled.]
Dave: OK. Let's start anew with our new Zen approach. No more chaos counters, just pure tranquility!
Green: [skeptically] Right, because nothing says 'zen' like scribbling on walls.
Dave: It's a visual representation of our new peaceful lifestyle. Plus, I used an erasable marker this time!
Green: Well, at least if it changes to something like Flaming Dragon Office, you can easily change the name.
Dave: Bingo!
Green: Though I'm not sure it wipes off a wall.
[Scene Two]
Int. Dave's apartment - A few minutes later
[Dave is showing Green his computer screen]
Dave: Look, I've even replaced all the error messages in ZenGarden with calming affirmations!
Green: [reading from the screen] "Your data is like a gentle stream, ever-flowing towards enlightenment." Dave, that's not helpful at all.
Dave: But it's soothing! Remember when my code used to cause actual explosions? This is much better!
Green: I'm not sure 'better' is the word I'd use. 'Different,' maybe. 'Equally concerning,' definitely.
Dave: People won't be complaining about flames. That's better!
[Scene Three]
Int. Dave's apartment - Late evening
[Dave is wearing a meditation headband and sitting cross-legged on the floor.]
Dave: And now, Greenie, witness the pinnacle of zen coding!
[Dave starts typing on a floating holographic keyboard]
Green: Please tell me this doesn't involve any talking animals.
Dave: Of course not! I've replaced all animal assistants with wise, silent trees.
[Suddenly, a holographic tree appears and starts dispensing coding advice in a deep, booming voice]
Tree: Remember, young sapling, proper indentation is the root of all good letter writing.
Green: [facepalming] I thought you said silent trees, Dave.
Dave: [sheepishly] Sorry. I think I still have the rabbit code in here, somewhere.
Green: Incredibly soothing.
Dave: [excitedly] Hey, that gives me an idea! What if I add a floating paperclip on the soothing waters, and integrate a parody of Clippy?
Green: [heading for the door] And that's my cue to leave. Call me when you've decided on an idea that isn't infringing on copyrights.
[End credits roll, featuring Dave meditating, as the holographic tree provides unsolicited advice in the background.]
