As I got about halfway through building yesterday's ALChoon, it struck me that, for the bazillionth time, I'd pretty much ended up with the AGameAWeek jingle, so I ended up squeezing it into the choon.
Listening back to most of this Recorded Album, there's a definite amount of monotony going on.
I'd've thought that learning Piano would've introduced a bit more variety into the mix, but.
..
nope..
I think I need to play about with a few different chord progressions or something. Mix things up a bit, instead of sticking around that C-Minor scale forever.
I used to be much more varied when it comes to melodies. What happened?
Is it a lack of KORG Gadget? Is that what's done it?
Or have I been like this for a while, now?
Hmm.
Maybe I need a bit more excitement in my life, from day to day. Maybe uprooting and moving to a new town wasn't exciting enough for me?
I dunno.
It's all kinda samey.

Feels like my Al Tunes
are getting a bit
stuck in a rut,
lately.

building yesterday's Al Tune,
it struck me that I'd pretty much
done the A Game A Week jingle
so I ended up squeezing it
into the tune.
Listening back to most of this Album,
It's awfully repetitive
[chorus]
Repetitive (repetitive)
The songs are getting repetitive
It's the same each week, (repetitive)
I hoped it wasn't the same again.

[Dave is standing behind a shattered desk, looking bewildered. Green enters, carrying a box of meditation cushions.]
Green: Dave, what happened to your new zen-inspired desk?
Dave: It's broken, Greenie. But don't worry, it's broken in one piece.
Green: [skeptically] How can it be broken in one piece? One piece isn't broken. It's one piece.
Dave: No, it's definitely broken, look...
[Dave gestures to the desk, which is still in one piece, but the monitor stand is diagonally orientated on the left side and the legs are all sticking up in the air]
Green: [sighing] I should've known our streak of tranquility wouldn't last. This is worse than the time you tried to set up that coke-powered calculator.
Dave: I blame Friday the Thirteenth.
Green: And it's only half eight in the morning. This could be a very eventful day!
[Scene Two]
Int. Dave's apartment - A few minutes later
[Dave is attempting to fix the desk with meditation beads and incense]
Dave: See, Greenie? It's all one piece, but it's definitely broken. It's like... quantum breakage!
Green: How did you even manage this?
Dave: Well, I was trying to set up our new Zen Cash Register app, but it kept giving me error messages like "Your transaction is like a leaf on the wind".
Green: And that led to a broken desk how exactly?
Dave: The Zen Meditation Mallet might've been involved.
Green: See, this is why you should only use mallets in VR.
Dave: It was in VR! Oh yeah, and I cracked my controller, too.
[Scene Three]
Int. Dave's apartment - Afternoon
[Dave and Green are staring at the broken desk, surrounded by the thousand BurrowOffice leaflets]
Dave: [perking up] I've got it! We can use these leaflets to create a papier-mâché desk! It'll be eco-friendly and zen!
Green: And a perfect metaphor for the fragility of my sanity.
Dave: [excitedly] Greenie, you're a genius! We can market this as a feature! "ZenOffice: All your breakages are zen!"
Green: Dave, no. We are not turning your clumsiness into a marketing strategy.
Dave: But think of the possibilities! Zen repair kits, mindfulness manuals for broken office equipment...
Green: And Yoga poses to correct the angle of your monitor?
Dave: Yeah! Now you're on the same page!
