I'm juggling projects again. .. Of COURSE I'm juggling projects. I couldn't focus to save my life.

The first game of the month will be a Foldapuz one. I'll post that later today.
Alongside that, there'll be a Shoebox game. That's the "Wooden tiles" one that I've been working on for the past couple of days. I need to add more "adventure" to that one, but am hoping that the cards will help that take shape.
So, what about a JSE game, then...?
Well, I started the groundwork for that yesterday.
I got a nice ground and wall tileset, added a main character that doesn't need much animation because I'm lazy, and grabbed those darned spiders for the umpteenth time to be the baddies.
Lazily put together, sure! But I'm working on a nice level layout thing, and will be trying to make this as playable as I can.
Some rather generic rules, and a simple enough enemy type, should help make this a fun game to play.
I'm tempted to make it one of those calendar based games, too. Maybe have 3 levels for each day?
One thing I haven't yet done is decide on a style for the YouTube "trailers", for this year.
This is another of the "I can do that during Advent" tasks that I didn't have time for, and ..
Uhoh, if I'm releasing a game today, I kinda need it done.. um.. today! Like, right now!!!
So I think that's something else I'll be working on, right now.. today..

Int. Dave's Computer Room - Morning
[Dave sits at his desk while Green watches from the couch]
Dave: I've had an idea for a program.
Green: [sarcastically] Oh good.
Dave: No, really, it's a great idea.
Green: Is this something you came up with, whilst you were stuck in hospital, last week?
Dave: No, this is better. I'm making a utility that automatically removes first names from appliance manuals!
Green: Of course you are.
[Lady Computer displays "Processing Error"]
Dave: See? Even Lady Computer thinks it's a good idea.
Green: That's literally the opposite of what she just said.
Dave: No, she's super excited.
[Dave starts typing furiously]
Dave: First, we scan for common first names...
Green: Dave, you can't just erase manufacturer names from manuals.
Dave: Watch me! Russell, Betty, Phillip - they're all going in the database!
[Lady Computer displays "Are you sure?"]
Dave: Don't you start! You're just as bad as the rest of them.
Green: [pokes at Dave's paranoia] I think she's trying to stop you in your tracks, Dave. Perhaps she has a name of her own!
Dave: It's ok. I removed the Lenovo sticker.
Green: .. Lenovo?
Dave: Len. Len Ovo. It's obvious, isn't it?
[Bill Gates walks in unexpectedly]
Bill: Hey Dave, what's new?
Dave: Bill! Perfect timing! Should computers have names?
Bill: I named an entire operating system after my office window.
Green: No, I meant like a proper first name.
...
[All in unison] : Bob!
[End credits roll as Dave's program accidentally renames every appliance manual to "Bob"]
