I need to add the end of a level. I think that bit might be important!!!
I also need to optimise the spider engine a little more, as it can occasionally get a little sluggish.
This is one of those "probably should've done it in Browsercade/Raw Javascript" occasions, but .. Meh, what can you do.
Anyway, it's fun having things in JSE.
Right?!
..
*tangent*
I don't think JSE's taken off like it was meant to.
Or maybe it wasn't meant to, and frankly I'm amazed it got to the point where I'm writing so many games in the thing.
It was only supposed to be for making quick examples and concepts and things.
Hmm. */tangent*
Anyway, I'm very near the end, and hopefully I can finish it off this morning, and get it all uploaded.
"How about that YouTube Trailer, Jay?" I hear you ask, and you're quite right, I haven't figured that out at all, and I'm not 100% sure this'll end up being something that has a trailer.
Which is frustrating, but I think I should probably continue focusing on the task at hand, which is the games.
Mmmm, Gamedev!!!
Right, a few last minute fixes, and entire game concepts, but I should be able to finish things off in a timely manner.
[chorus]
Don't forget to make a YouTube trailer.
Don't forget to film the game. [clap clap clap clap]
Cut all the scenes up and put them back together,
Then upload it all onto YouTube. (wooo!)
[break]
[verse]
I made a game. It features a dungeon.
Plenty of spiders and lots of keys.
Run through the dungeon. Look for the exit.
Protecting yourself from the spiders.
(aargh!)
[chorus]
Don't forget to make a YouTube trailer.
Don't forget to film the game. [clap clap clap clap]
Cut all the scenes up and put them back together,
Then upload it all onto YouTube. (wooo!)
[break]
[bridge]
Next week's game has lots of hexagons.
(ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooo, hexagons)
Hopefully I don't make it wrong.
(ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooo, hexagons)
Roll the dice and move along.
(ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooo, hexagons)
Grab more gems to beat your friend.
(ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooo!!!!)
[shout]
Hexagons (yeay)
[break]
[chorus]
Don't forget to make a YouTube trailer.
Don't forget to film the game. [clap clap clap clap]
Cut all the scenes up and put them back together,
Then upload it all onto YouTube. (wooo!)
Int. Dave's Room - Morning
[Dave is excitedly showing Green his desk covered in Cola bottles arranged in patterns]
Dave: You've got to see this! It's revolutionary!
Green: Is this why Lady Computer called me at 6am?
Dave: Look - binary is so limited. But Colanary? It has THREE states!
Green: I'm already regretting coming over.
[Dave demonstrates with Cola bottles]
Dave: See? Full bottle is 2, half-full is 1, empty is 0!
Green: That's just... regular numbers with cola bottles.
Dave: But with Cola! It's infinitely better than binary!
Lady Computer: *"HELP"*
[Dave starts drawing diagrams]
Dave: And look - I've already reprogrammed Philesplitter in the new colanary methodology!
Green: Is that why Lady Computer's been sending out emergency emails to all the RCHomes residents?
Dave: She's just jealous she didn't think of it first.
[Dave demonstrates his new system]
Dave: Watch this - I'll split this file using pure Colanary code!
Green: Dave, there isn't even any technology that could cope with this new code. How are you even going to..
Dave: This is completely different! This is SOPHISTICATED coding!
Lady Computer: *beep*
[Dave presses enter and the cola bottles start fizzling]
Dave: See? It's working!
Lady Computer: *beep*
Green: I think that's a warning sign, Dave.
Dave: No, no - that's just Lady Computer converting Binary to Colanary!
[One of the bottles smash, sending cola everywhere]
Lady Computer: *"Error.. Error.. That file is not Splittable in ANY base system"*
Dave: Awww, nuts.
Green: Well, I'm not totally shocked.
Dave: Get me a straw...
