Didn't get much in the way of coding done, yesterday. Stupid Eye Goo..
-=-=-
I had a Diabetes Eye Test yesterday, and the goop seemed super strong, this year.
I'm sure it usually wears off after a couple of hours, but this time around it was more like 6 hours before I could read anything on my screen, comfortably.
I ended up watching a lot of TV, and mostly being a lazy bugger, for much of the day.
By the end of the night I was trying to watch some K-Dramas on Netflix, but my eyes were still kinda blurry and I even gave up doing that.
Good grief, I don't think my eyes have ever suffered as much from the Eye-Fluid.
Yesterday's Stroll
We headed up to the top of the main road (about 400 steps) to catch the bus into tow. The bus takes about 5 minutes, and then another slightly longer walk to the Diabetes centre. Maybe 800 or so steps. It's not too far to travel at all, which is great for my balance, mobility, etc.
The way back home, however, was about 3:30, and all the schools get out at 3:30, and there were kiddywinks all over the place.
We got onto the bus in town to come home, but noisy kids were crammed in, and that was an effort. A real effort. I struggled with it.
.. a LOT..
And the traffic was making things slow as heck, and it took about 20 minutes to get even halfway home.
And the noise, and the slow, and the..
RAWR!!
"Can we just get off and walk?" I asked my Mum.
..
So we did. We walked the other half of the way home. It was raining, it was cold, it was miserable, but it was preferable to the noise on the bus.
In all, the trip ended up being 5,757 steps, so..
400 to the bus, 800 to the eye clinic, 800 back to the bus...
About 3757 steps from where we got off the bus, home, in the rain and cold.
Sorry to Mum for doing that to her, but it was certainly the better option for me.
We linked arms, and both coaxed each other onwards, holding each other steady, as we stumbled up the long street towards home.
"It's just 'round this corner!"
.. Remind me in future, if I have any appointments, to try to make them earlier in the day so we can avoid all the kiddywinks.
Or at the very least, to get a taxi instead.
Meanwhile
....
So, where are we up to with the game?
Well, 99% of the game is done.
Today I need to add the End, so it works out who's won the game, and adds points in Party mode, things like that.
Other than that, video, screenshots, etc.
Get all that together, get it uploaded, and the game should be golden.

The diabetes fluid was strong, this time.
It's taken several hours to wear off.
For six or seven hours I could not see a thing,
I wonder why, this time, it's so rough.
[chorus]
Why why why does the fluid hurt my eye?
It stings like crazy when it drips on my eyeball.
Why why why does it make my vision blur.
For the next five or six or seven hours.
[verse]
I try to write my blog, but I barely see a thing.
Can I finish off my game, or will I struggle with the code?
Maybe I should sit and watch TV, if only I could see it.
And V.R. gaming's off the list of things that I could do.
[chorus]
Why why why does the fluid hurt my eye?
It stings like crazy when it drips on my eyeball.
Why why why does it make my vision blur.
For the next five or six or seven hours.
[bridge]
Things that were blurry are now starting to clear,
I can finally see text on my screen.
But it's awfully late to be coding my game,
So I'll just lie in bed and watch garbage on YouTube,
Like Linus and Luke on the WanShow, or something.
I just started watching a K-Drama last week,
But I'm not sure of subtitles whilst my eyes are this weak.
So just YouTube stuff instead will have to do.
[chorus]
Why why why does the fluid hurt my eye?
It stings like crazy when it drips on my eyeball.
Why why why does it make my vision blur.
For the next five or six or seven hours.
Int. Dave's Garden
[Steve stands in Dave's garden, looking at his shoes sticking slightly to the ground]
Steve: It's getting a bit... adhesive out here.
Dave: That's just the Cola-proofing settling in.
Steve: About that. I was thinking, maybe there's an alternative?
Dave: To Cola? [laughs nervously] Good one!
Green: He might have a point, Dave. It is kinda tacky out here.
Dave: But each variety has its own specific fizz ratio! It's the different fizzinesses that gives the Colanary system its unique ability to..
Green: Break?
Dave: I was going to say "think creatively".
Steve: What about a SodaStream?
Dave: [gasps in horror]
Green: Actually, that might work...
Dave: Betrayal! Next you'll be saying I should water down the debug fluid!
[Dave starts pacing]
Steve: My garden's starting to attract wasps.
Dave: That's just the beta testing phase. Like when it fizzled happily in my living room last week.
Green: That wasn't happy fizzling.. It was an explosion, Dave.
Dave: A successful explosion!
[Steve looks at his sticky shoes again]
Steve: What if you could control the fizz levels precisely?
Dave: [stops pacing] How so..?
Green: Oh no.
Dave: Like a giant SodaStream carbonation system?
Steve: Well, I was thinking smaller...
Dave: With pressure valves and bubble metrics!
Green: Dave, calm down.
[Dave pulls his phone out and starts jotting down ideas]
Dave: We could have different pressures for different computations, all managed by a valve system and little syrups that could give them all a fake cola flavour.
Steve: I'm not sure that's what I...
Dave: Quick! To the Cola lab! We need to calculate optimal bubble density, whilst creating a worthy syrup!
Green: I think we maybe oughta warn the neighbours.
Steve: About what?
Green: Last time he got this excited, he turned several buildings multicoloured.
