Me and ChatGPT had a good discussion about a game that I'd like to make.

A little while back, over on the Discord, I posted a "Random Thought" suggesting that it might be a nice idea to create some sort of new adventure with Flappadiddle.
I kinda had an idea in my head, but it's been a few months now, and I hadn't really come up with too many new gameplay elements that could work, so me and ChatGPT had a good chat, and we came up with quite an interesting set of features that might make for an expanded Flappadiddle.
Long story short, I've now got a 5Kb file in my temp folder that has a whole bunch of little ideas that can be put together to make somewhat of an interesting game, but one of the struggles that both me and ChatGPT had was that of "and he can fly freely, anywhere"
That really does limit a whole bunch of elements.
Why bother adding spikes, flames, darts, etc to the floor, when Flappy can just fly over everything, anyway?
So, as much as I love this set of ideas, I'm not 100% sure it's going to be a Flappadiddle game.
And I keep wondering "well, what other character could have all these features?"
And ..
Well..
Is it time to make a whole new JNKPlat game?
Something with a brand new style of gameplay?
It has kinda been somewhat stale for a while. A lot of the JNKPlat DS 08 levels are still compatible with the most recent JNKPlat Online edition (even if I never got around to implementing them), and if I'm honest, JNKPlat Online edition never really did get finished off.
So, yeah, I'm kinda thinking more in that direction, now.
I might start a new engine, build a whole new style for the game. Add a whole bunch of these features that Me and ChatGPT have been discussion, and maybe come up with something new and unique.
I definitely think there's a fun game in these notes that we made, and if I can add some of them to the world of JNKPlat, we might be in for an interesting adventure.
Stick a pin in this, and we'll come back to it later.

I'm not really sure why that is. (It makes sense in the game.)

Int. Dave's Living Room
[Dave is slouched on his couch, looking contemplative]
Dave: Seven months out of twelve, and what have I done?
Green: Three, Dave. Three have passed, we're only in the first part of the fourth month.
Dave: Yeah, but what HAVE I done, this year?
Green: Well, you've certainly created enough ScrunchCakes to feed an army.
Dave: But I haven't really DONE anything, have I?
Green: You made friends with all the neighbours, and a few at the church. The Vicar mostly hates you after you threw the cakes, but a few seem to like your antics.
Dave: Yeah, but that's just being friendly.
Green: Throwing cakes?
Dave: Yeah.
Green: And you built the Effervescent Engine.
Dave: Which only exploded into frothy bubble-town twice!
Green: See, that's an improvement on your usual track record.
Dave: No, Greenie. That's "only" twice.
Green: Only two disasters is a good thing, not a lacklustre thing!
Dave: Maybe I should buy that Game Shop after all...
Green: No, Dave. You don't need that.
Dave: Maybe I do, though. I feel the need to expand my horizons.
Green: You have reviews to write, too, remember?
Dave: But imagine - "Dave's Games and ScrunchCakes"!
Green: You keep saying "Dave's Games", but we all know it'll be me who ends up doing most of the jobs, whilst you're busy making explosive cakes in the back room.
Dave: ScrunchCakes.
Green: Yeah, those. You'd be in the back kitchen, and I'll be up front doing everything else.
Dave: It's a shop. What else is there?
Green: EVERYTHING! The shelf stacking, stock, inventory, security, being personable to customers. There's loads to do.
Dave: Lady Computer could run the till!
[Lady Computer beeps disapprovingly from the desk]
Green: Even she thinks that's a bad idea.
Dave: But Joe managed to run a computer shop!
Green: And how many times did you manage to accidentally wreck it?
Dave: That was different. This would be MY shop!
[End credits roll as Dave starts sketching shop layouts on a napkin]
