As always, or at least, as far as this year's been going, the first game of the month will be a Foldapuz game, and with a monthly theme of Snip, I did honestly think about a game where you cut out the shapes and have to fit them into a different shape.
That seemed like it might be a great concept for a game.
And I might still do that, but maybe not in Foldapuz.
Or maybe I should?
I'm not really sure.
It kinda feels like the sort of thing that would actually work better in Shoebox. Have a few shapes that you have to shuffle into place and then..
...
No, hang on, that's already in there, isn't it.
Hmm.
Anyway, the idea of drawing a slice came next, and that lead to a baffling amount of code-tweaking to get numerical values to place in certain clusters without being too big for the puzzle to work.
And the puzzle does work, and it was relatively easy to code, and I did code it myself, and didn't ask the A.I. to do it, because coding games is my game, and that's what I like to do.
Job done, game in the back, ready for Monday.
Meanwhile...
Heading back to the End Card of the YouTube videos, and I managed to finally to finish off a little ditty for it. I actually got the basic lyrics/melody done a couple of days ago, but have been endlessly tweaking and rejigging it to get "just" the right sound for it.
Turns out, it needed backing vocals, so there's Lucy for the main singer, and Jay for the pickups. EmvoiceApp still being my singing tool of choice.
So, yeah, I'm quite happy with how that's turned out, and it should be popping into future YouTube videos, once the next one's ready to go.

[verse]
In a game of rock paper scissors, the people never seem to ask.
What's written on the piece of paper when it has to perform its task.
Is it a love note to a long lost friend? Or some mathematical calculations?
A shopping list that you need to buy? Or some wonderful gift suggestions.
[chorus]
Who knows? (Who!)
Whatever it is then I'm sure it's important.
(I'm sure it's important, yeah)
But be careful with your piece of paper,
And don't let the scissors win.
(Don't let the scissors win)
[break]
[verse]
In a game of rock paper scissors, the people don't seem to fear,
Where the little rock had come from. Was it something they held dear?
Could it be a treasured pebble someone rescued from the beach?
Or maybe it could be a hideaway rock, with a secret hidden key.
[chorus]
Who knows? (Who!)
Whatever it is then I'm sure it's important.
(I'm sure it's important, yeah)
But be careful with your precious rock,
And don't let the paper win.
(Don't let the paper win)
[break]
[verse]
In a game of rock paper scissors, the people don't seem to care,
About the slightly scary sharpened knives, that always come in pairs.
Be wary of their stabbing power. The way they swiftly slice.
And hope whoever's weilding them, are cheery, calm, and nice.
[chorus]
Who knows? (Who!)
Whatever it is then I'm sure it's important.
(I'm sure it's important, yeah)
But be careful around their sharpened blades,
And don't let any rocks win.
(Don't let any rocks win.)
[break]
[bridge]
Though if we think about it a little more,
The rock might actually help the scissors.
Rather than blunt the edge of them,
They just might actually sharpen.
Then the scissors have actually won,
And together with rocks are stronger.
Ready to take on the paper, again.
With a snip snip snip, they're sure to win.
[break]
[chorus]
Who knows? (Who!)
Whatever it is then I'm sure it's important.
(I'm sure it's important, yeah)
But be careful around their sharpened blades,
And don't let any rocks win.
(Don't let any rocks win.)
[chorus]
Who knows? (Who!)
Whatever it is then I'm sure it's important.
(I'm sure it's important, yeah)
But be careful with your piece of paper,
And don't let the scissors win.
(Don't let the scissors win)
[Green and Mrs Thompson are examining a display of aquarium tubing. Green is fiddling with a length, bending it into multiple shapes.]
Green: Right. So, the basic principle is airflow. We need to get cool air into the bunny head. Not just around it. Inside.
Mrs Thompson: [Examining a small aquarium pump] This little fella seems pretty powerful, but I'm not sure they're very good at pumping cool air around.
Green: [Holding up the tubing] It should be doable. With a little jiggery pokery.
Mrs Thompson: I don't know about that, Mister Green.
Green: The trick is getting it all to fit without it looking like some sort of giant spaghetti monster attacked the bunny.
Mrs Thompson: What if it wasn't cool air?
Green: You want to pump warm air inside the already hot costume?
Mrs Thompson: No, silly. I mean, we could pump water around. That's what these pumps are made for.
Green: Hmmm.
Mrs Thompson: It would be like water cooling your computer, except it'd be you.
Green: That's ingenious.
Mrs Thompson: [Pointing to the pump] So, if we had enough tubing, and a little pump like this, then all we'd need is some kind of radiator to cool the water coming out.
Green: Will that work as part of a circuit, though? Or does it need a pond or something?
Mrs Thompson: Let’s just get the pump, and some tubing, Mister Green. We can figure out the logistics later. If nothing else, you could carry around a bowl of water or something!
Green: That doesn't sound very bunny like.
Mrs Thompson: Maybe one of those little bottles, the ones with the little ball bearing at the end. And you can drink out of it.
[Mrs Thompson motions her arms in the air and pretends to lick at a fictional bottle]
Green: I'm not doing that. The costume is bad enough.
