I hurried to the Apple AppStore, downloaded the StargateCommand app, and promptly paid £19.99 for "Full Access"

Full Access does at least give you Full Access, and works fine in the UK.
You have the ability to watch any and all Stargate Content, from the original Movie, through all 3 series, and even the later SG-1 movies.
I can't seem to find the DVD's audio commentaries, though

Stargate's Audio Commentaries have been some of my favourites, through the years, and some of the lesser interesting episodes can be made much more entertaining by their addition.

The fact that I actually OWN all these things on DVD, including access to the commentaries and more, makes the £19.99 fee a little bit of a waste, for me, personally.
But the excitement of NEW Stargate...? MMMmmmm!!

So, I rushed to the Origins page, clicked on episode one, and watched the full 10 minute episode.

... Episode 2 is 8 minutes, and then Episode 3 is 12 minutes.

For £19.99, I essentially got half an hour's worth of TV.

I won't comment on how good/bad/terrible/canon-breaking the episodes themselves were, but suffice to say, I certainly wasn't impressed.

Bah, humbug.
