I've suffered with migraines my whole life, so whenever one attacks, I can usually get rid of it by about mid-afternoon.
The basic motions are as follows. Step 1. Paracetamol. Nothing stronger, since I've taught my body to control the migraines so well. Plus, if I DO take anything stronger, bad head waveyness occurs!! Step 2. Dark Room. A general tip from anyone. Lights out. Curtains shut. Close out the world. Step 3. Comedy. This one's a little unorthodox, I'll give you that, but I've always found that rewatching a classic comedy is good for keeping your spirits up. Red Dwarf, Corner Gas, Friends, Frasier.. The good re-watchables. They tend to help. Step 4. Bed. Rest, Sleep, Relax, Migraine Be Gone.. hurray! -=-=- Annoyingly, over the past year or so, I've developed a secondary medical bugger-up which is interfering with step four. It's my all-new annoyingly annoying Neck problem, which creeks, cracks, and snaps at any given moment. Now, whenever I attempt Step Four, I'm at risk of upsetting the neck thing. Sleep too much, Neck gets bad. Sleep too little, Head still bad. It's a very complex balance, and.. well.. judging by the past couple of days, I'm not quite there, yet! So, apologies for lack of AGameADay, and there's been no AL Choons, and I even skipped a blog or two. I'll get right back to it all shortly. Time to go slap on another gallon of Tiger Balm!
