Aaah, March 2010. The month of MAR10! I decided to dedicate the entire month to Mario, and spent the whole month remaking classic AGameAWeek games, but with Mario costumes on all the characters!
I remember it like it was yesterday.

2010 - Ace Paceman in a Mario Costume

Exactly three years ago, we took a nostalgic look back at a game I'd originally written in 2007 for Wednesday Workshop. The original game itself was a remake of a really really old game that I used to have on my Amstrad, called Roland in the Caves, except it was upside down.
This re-remake was pretty much identical, except it used the month's Mario theme to give the game a teensy little overall overhaul. Still following?! Great!

So, basically, you run around the level, upside down, whilst avoiding the flaming burning balls, and trying to put them out with your water pistol, whilst simultaneously trying to capture the balls in the floor with your ray gun.

Games don't always have to make sense!

This game's nice and fun, but could easily have been better. Aw well!
