A graph of all the available data from the Archive. May not be entirely accurate, but shows approximately that I've gotten better at scheduling AGameAWeek. As it reaches 2013/14 it all gets a little smoother!

Someone over at Softpedia has been closely following AGameAWeek for quite some time. It seems that each time I post a new game, within a relatively short period of time, it pops up on Softpedia's archive.
Handily, they tend to link directly to my downloads, so if in the future I opt to update any of my games, people will be able to get the latest edition.
They also write their own little descriptions and take nice screenshots, too.

Welcome to Xmas 2004, when I released an early test version of Platdude Spheres!
The game's basic idea was sound, but the gameplay never quite fit the idea, and it doesn't exactly "feel" like Platdude, either.
As such, the game was pretty much abandoned at the stage you currently see it.

Hmm.. I had hoped my entire devkit had managed to cross over from Win7 to Win8.1, but I'm struggling to get "proper" Android dev compilation working. Hmmm..
Still, Windows, OUYA and HTML5 all seem to be working smoothly, so I'll continue to focus on those whilst I try to get everything running smoothly again.

I only went and bought a new laptop!!
I need to, not only get this new laptop up to my usual Dev-Kit standards, I also need to format, clean up, and "un-developer-ify" my old laptop, so I can hand it down to my sister.
This'll probably fill up most of my weekend, so the chances of my getting a game done by Tuesday are looking pretty slim.
I'll keep you informed, and post some nice pics and things, later, when I'm sat waiting for the other laptop to format and reinstall Windows!

Occasionally, I base games upon crazy bits of coding that seem fun to play with. Sometimes games can form from odd little artistic doodles that look strange and unusual. Other times, I'll start with a sound effect, or a piece of music, and allow it to fester away until a game has emerged.
This week is different..
This week, the game's idea came solely from the stupid mock game title that randomly popped into my head.

Today is, apparently, Amiga Day.
Not entirely sure what it is we're supposed to do on Amiga Day, but I figured it'd be nice to compile one of my old AMOS games, and stick it onto my Archive for all to laugh at!
I've actually dated this one in the code, as being from 1997!! No idea when in 1997, so I'll say it's probably December... but yeay! Oldest thing on my Archive

Been playing around with a nice control scheme for "Man with a Big Gun", and he seems to be fairly workable. Not sure exactly on how he'll interact with the world, yet, but I have a vague plan in mind, which may or may not result in a highly playable shooty game!

Last month, I set aside the whole month to create a nice and lengthy month-long project. Blockman Worlds surprisingly took just a week to create, and then I was right back to the regular AGameAWeek schedule!!
This month, I opted to delve into something even bulkier, and the resulting game is really quite nice. Oddly, it took alarmingly longer than expected, so isn't quite as chunky as I'd like it to have been.
As it is, though, it's a wonderful little highly playable local-multiplayer edition of DynaBla...

So far so good on the JNKBombers front.
Most of Battle Mode's features are implemented as planned.
Human players, AI players, Bombs, Shield, Coins, Shop and today I added a few cheap-as-chips themes into the mix for good measure. There's only 6 themes, but it's enough to keep it marginally interesting!
Over the next couple of days, I'll keep tweaking away at the AI, and maybe add some new powerups, but otherwise I'm now at the point where I can say "Yeah, that's what I wanted to play!!"

The game's coming along smoothly, now that I've finally settled on a vaguely decent AI. Obviously, it'll play a LOT better when you've got actual players to play against, but if you're sad and alone like me, you'll have something to play against.

I've just added my first Amiga game to my Jayenkai Archive.
I've had access to the disk's files for a long time, but never got around to getting the compiler stuff up and running.
Today, I finally buggered about with WinUAE and my collection of Amos disks, and got Amos Pro Compiler up and running.
