Procrastination...
Blog
1st September 2018
Well, kinda.
I spent yesterday fiddling with all manner of background stuff, the end result of which is that Menu Two still hasn't been worked on!

Tweaking Menu One
Blog
31st August 2018
As I attempt to build Menu Two, I'm also having to tweak bits of Menu One so that everything flows well between the two.

Zero Progress
Blog
30th August 2018
Over on SoCoder, Spinal asked all about my old JMTrackr tool/player.
This is the second time it's cropped up in the past few days, (It was mentioned on Facebook a day or two ago) and it's got me wondering if I should attempt a new version of it for the C++ Framework... and more importantly, for JNKPlat2018.
You can learn more about JMTrackr here.

Starting Menu Two
Blog
30th August 2018
Menu Two is infinitely more complicated than Menu One.
Whereas menu one was simply a set of buttons on the titlescreen, menu two needs to list hundreds of levels.

The Test button is now on the top left, next to the save button.
The tile-menu is now on the bottom left instead of the right, leaving quite a gap on the bottom right of the screen. I might need to tweak that a bit!

The Editor definitely needs a decent GUI, but I'm unsure whether I'm better off with a simpler one, or something a little more fully featured.

More Tiles
Blog
27th August 2018
Yesterday was quite a productive day, but one that needed a whole boatload of tweaks just to get the pushable blocks to work correctly.
Exactly half of the intended "original" tiles are currently functional.

JNKPlat Testing

The video above shows a bunch of the stuff I've been doing, today.
The travellators were working the other day, as was the ability to hop up onto a ledge.
But pretty much everything else is new.
..or at least, new to this edition. If you're a fan of previous JNKPlat games, this should all be fairly standard stuff.

Stupid Door!!
Blog
26th August 2018
I spent FAR too long playing with the door/exit swirly thing, yesterday, and even after all that time, I'm still not quite happy with the results.

Back to Plat?
Blog
25th August 2018
I had a nice day off, yesterday, playing with the Logo generator.
There's still a few other things I'd like to add, like gradients and possibly borders, outlines, embossing, and that sort of thing.
But for now I think I should probably head back to JNKPlat.
