I woke up too early, this morning, but at least I've managed to get everything important done within a moderately decent amount of time. SoCoder's newsletter will be up shortly, along with the ALChoon of the week, and after that it's "simply" a case of finishing off the Petit Switch game for the week. Then I can rest.. Before starting another Shoebox game!! Ugh..

I must've started about half-a-dozen projects in PetitSwitch, yesterday, to try and figure out what this week's game might be.

Can you find all the pills within the grid? Each pill is numbered 1 to N (Where N is the width of the grid, so 8 squares along = 8 pills) The pills sit either horizontally or vertically in the grid, and are exactly 3 squares in length. The numbers at the side display the totals of all of the squares that contain pills in that row..! You can Print sheets of Pills here, or Play it in your browser.

I woke the MacMini up at around about 8pm. By 11:30 it was finally ready to start using. Update after update after update after update.. And even then I had to uninstall XCode and reinstall it (with a huge download to boot) in order to get it actually working. *sigh*

1. Foldapuz got done. It was a bit of a squeeze, but I pulled off another Logic game. (Pills) I really need to come up with a new Word game for Foldapuz. It's been AGES* since I added one!

OK, let's ignore the fact that I've no Browsercade game to post today, and carry on as if everything's normal! Today I need to come up with a Foldapuz game, and get that working my midnight. Hurray! I also have a friend coming around with a broken laptop that needs fixing, which I'm hoping isn't anything hardware related, because I'm RUBBISH at fixing hardware issues. If I can't click a problem away, then I'm stumped. As well as that, I've got to start work on ...

I tried my best to get a vertical scrolling shooter up and running in a day, but.. nah.. This week's Browsercade game will be held off until next week.

I didn't do a smegging thing, yesterday. Nothing. Nada. Zip As much as the 4-games-a-week things is flowing reasonably well, it's also really bloomin' hard!!

Currently thinking I might do a Boulderdash clone, for Browsercade, but I'm not sure how good I can make it in just a couple of days. Don't be surprised if this ends up as a two-week game, instead. I have the "Multiple Direction" concept from 8-bit Boulders that I could easily reuse, but that needed hand-made levels. I'm not sure I can successfully auto-generate levels for a game like that..

I finished off WestWords last night, so that's ready for release on our regular Shoebox Saturday slot. Today, I'm heading back into Super Secret Side Project to see if I can get the file tweaking to work without resulting in file breaking!

A few weeks ago, I was supposed to go for my Flu Jab, but that didn't happen. (I had a rather bad day, health wise, and couldn't make it.) Today, we do it all again! It's stabbing time, on Halloween!!!

I lay awake until about 2 in the morning, trying to decide what this week's Shoebox game might be. I knew I wanted a Word game, this week, but .. What sort of game might it be? Eventually, an idea started to form which I was happy with, so I switched off everything, rolled over, and drifted off into a gentle sleep.

A simple enough puzzle. Each number represents the size of a rectangle. Try to find, and fill in, all of the rectangles without overlapping any. You can Print a full sheet of Sikaku here, or alternatively Play it in your browser, here.

Browsercade was done last night, so I can somewhat relax, today. I have an entire Foldapuz game to get up and running, and then it's back to working on "Super Secret Side Project"...

I drew a pumpkin last night. It is Halloween week, after all. I think I've more or less got a gameplan in mind, but whether it ends up being fun.. Who can say!? Not much else to report, really. I took most of yesterday off from regular coding, and spent a couple of hours getting familiar with the LumaFusion iPad video editor. I've managed to wrangle a few nice little effects, and now have a bunch of little half-complete video clips that may or may not end up being used. Fun with tools! ...

Place all 40 cards (Ace to 10, all four suits) within the grid. Create "Jimps", matches between adjacent cards, to score points. Multiple Jimps score bonus points, and you can rack up combos by placing more multiples after each other. You can Play Jimper in the Shoebox, under Misc. I was tempted to add it to the Card Games section, but felt it was more Puzzle than Card, so it went into the Misc like Cardagain is.. Feel free to argue if you think that's wrong!!

"Jimper" is available in the Misc section of Shoebox. I'll be posting it to the site in a short while. Once that's done, along my usual flood of #ScreenshotSaturday tweets, it's time to get thinking about the next Browsercade game. *shrugs*
