The credits screen of Shoebox is now much more of a credits screen again.

I spent most of last night trying various microphone tweaks in order to get just the right sound.

So, I started work on this game..

The gfx in the credits screen has a very good looking swirling ghost effect. And what a lovely effect it is!

If you're a frequent reloader of Shoebox of Games, you might've noticed the sounds of the cards being switched out, about half-a-dozen times, over the course of yesterday.

Seems playable!! You can Play Shoebox of Games here, and you'll find Snakes and Ladders in the new "Board Games" section! Oooooh!!

I was very lucky that in my first game I did not get into any snake tiles and got the help of one ladder tile to reach near the end zone much before the AI. Yup, this is a game 100% down to luck. I'd like to perhaps remove the sheer-luck, by making the moves maybe Card based, or something? Not quite sure how well that would work, and it honestly wouldn't be "Snakes and Ladders" anymore. So.. Perhaps another type of board game in the future?

Shoebox Highlights Since RSKGames asked for such a thing, there's now a single quick-ish loading page, which contains tiny snippets of update news, along with links to the actual blog post that accompanies them. I'll probably do the Foldapuz and JNKsg equivilants tomorrow, as it took absolutely ages to find the posts, and get all those little highlight messages written!

You know when you're at the end of the day, and do backups and things, and forget that you weren't quite yet finished doing the Player Selection Screen, but it accidentally gets uploaded anyway...? That!

With a little imagery on the buttons, things look a lot more functional, now.

Alan asks.. Did you ever read up on Nandeck? even if you don't use it, it might inspire you on your own ideas as far as bulk generating cards and such. This would be for generating things like "Monopoly Knock-off" Property cards, "Top Trumps Knock-off" score based cards, "HeroQuest Knock-off" Inventory cards, and things like that. Don't worry.. No inspiration is necessary.

Today I need to get a new scoreboard working in the Shoebox.

Hmmm.. Kinda works!!

Tried for the past few hours to see if I can get any vague "screen size" stuff to work.

As I sit and play the new "Party Mode" (Is that really the name for this?!) I'm starting to realise that there are still huge missing features in the ... feature!

And checking it .. often! If you've any games you'd like to see in the Shoebox, let them be known, and I'll add them to the list..

I've tried to keep the "notifications" as subtle as I can, but .. obviously, they have to be noticeable! You can test them out in the Shoebox, by playing the Snakes and Ladders game!

This game is taking a little longer than I'd like, but for good reason.

Today's hopefully going to be the last little bits of the reusable "Hand of Cards" code.

The "Jack Change It" game now more or less functions in a vague way..

If player plays an 8, the next player has to miss their turn.. Unless they also have an 8, in which case they can play that, then the next player has to miss their turn. ... Currently trying to code that, and it is NOT easy!!
