The track Recorded Today turned out ok, once I added a few more lyrics and tweaked the disjoint between the A and B chord sections.
Once done, I realised it was going to work better with an animation, so I opened up JSE and set about doing that.
It wasn't too hard, and it helped to have that repeating lyric in the background, as I was able to anchor the animation around that, to a certain degree.
But that's another day gone, and another day less to get the Advent Tutorial up and running.
And if I'm honest, I should probably have already started next week's ALChoon, since it's already Saturday.
Where does all the time go!?
Aargh!
Right.
Focus, Jay.
Get working on what you're supposed to be doing, and stop faffing about with other stuff.
Headphones on.
Music loud.
Code-a-thon time!!!
[Dave wakes up, and is baffled to find himself not surrounded by Cola cans]
Dave: Where... where am I?
Green: [From the other room] You're STILL in my spare room!
Dave: Did the mole build this room?
Green: No statues, Dave. We agreed.
[Dave stumbles into the living room to find Greenie sitting with a rather large black book]
Dave: You read the bible, Greenie?
Green: No, it's the documentation for my 286 server
Dave: Looks... extensive.
Green: I've been trying to set up a second user account so you can use it whilst you're staying here. .. [stresses] Temporarily.
Dave: Can I install my Cola inventory system?
Green: You're not installing anything at this rate. I'm still on the power consumption chapter.
[Scene Two]
Int. Green's Kitchen
[Green makes coffee while Dave fidgets with property details]
Green: So, any of those houses catch your eye?
Dave: The one with the reinforced basement looked promising.
Green: Dave...
Dave: What? It's perfect for emergency supplies!
Green: You're not turning another basement into a Cola vault.
Dave: The estate agent seemed nice.
Green: Until you asked where could stash all your coke.
Dave: It's called forward planning!
Green: You really have to stop wording it that way. "Stashing coke" is a drug thing.
Dave: [baffled] What kind of drug thing?
Green: Coke .. It's cocaine, isn't it.
Dave: No, it's a drink.
Green: You need to stop referring to it as a stash. That's part of the problem.
Dave: So.. My giant coke supply?
Green: Never mind. Forget I said anything.
[Scene Three]
Int. Green's Living Room
[Green continues reading his manual while Dave looks at houses on his laptop]
Dave: What about this one?
Green: Which?
Dave: Former warehouse conversion.
Green: No.
Dave: But look at the storage potential!
Green: Dave, you need a normal house. .. Preferably one with suitable reinforcement.
Dave: And emergency supply routes. For my Coke addiction.
Green: NO.
Dave: Backup ventilation system?
Green: Windows, David. They're called Windows.
Dave: And enough space for the giraffe.
Green: Find. A. Normal. House.
Dave: Fine. But I'm still getting the porcupine to check the building regulations.
Green: [Sighs and returns to his manual]
