I hope you all enjoyed your night off.
Now it's time to get back to coding.
-=-=-
I'm fairly happy with how the new audio tweaks to JSE are coming together, but I'm still far from done, and have a ton to do before I'm 100% happy with it.
It shouldn't be "too" hard to finish things off, though. Now that I've rewritten the node-functionality, and have implemented Panning.. .. I could've sworn JSE did audio panning, but apparently it's not in there, so.. *shrugs*
Anyway, that's all working fairly well now so I'm confident that I can finish it off within a decent timeframe.
Get that done, put it to the side, and it's time to start on our grand "ADVENTURE", as Michael put it.
I'm taking that to mean "something a bit RPG'ish, or Quest'ish"
I've got a Foldapuz game in mind, and that should be easy to dump into the engine, so that'll likely be the first game, on this coming Monday, leaving me with a little more time for the next couple of games.
I need a Shoebox game and a JSE/Browsercade game to go alongside.
One board'y, one action'y. But both the same theme of ADVENTURE!
I think I have a plan for both. Or at least, the board game concept seems like it'd work, and the action game concept feels like it oughta work, too.
But I guess we'll find out further down the road.
Once I've got a Foldapuz game done, I can make a start on either one of those. They both feel equally as complex as the other, though one of them requires hexagonal tiles, and I'm not sure I can pull that off! Might be a good idea to tackle that, first, then.
Hmm.
For the fourth Monday in the month, I think I need to make some kind of Patreon Exclusive game, but I'm really not sure what that oughta be, and haven't even begun to think about that, yet.
I really do have a lot to do before I get to that point!
But, I think this plan of Monthly themes might work out.
.. As long as you can all keep coming up with them, that is!

Here comes another fifty two weeks.
And every one of them I have to fill.
I'll try to make you games that you can play all through the day,
And that hopefully won't leave you feeling ill.
[chorus]
Code, Code, Code, The keyboard's humming,
Fifty Two games, and the clock's already running.
Let's vanquish the bugs. Do a pixel repair.
So A Game A Week continues to always be there.
[chant]
Happy New Year
[break]
[verse]
Let's prepare ourselves for times ahead.
To be happy and fruitful, and joyous with cheer.
Going for walks, and chatting with friends,
And coding more games you can play through the year.
[chant]
Happy New Year
[break]
[chorus]
Code, Code, Code, The keyboard's humming,
Fifty Two games, and the clock's already running.
Let's vanquish the bugs. Do a pixel repair.
So A Game A Week continues to always be there.
[verse]
Let's all raise our glasses right up to our face,
So that we can read all of the code as we type.
And continue all year to create all the games,
That will bring us much joy, and a whole lot of hype.
[chant]
Happy New Year
[break]
[chorus]
Code, Code, Code, The keyboard's humming,
Fifty Two games, and the clock's already running.
Let's vanquish the bugs. Do a pixel repair.
So A Game A Week continues to always be there.

Int. Dave's Living Room - Morning
[Dave is sprawled dramatically on the couch, surrounded by empty Cola cans. Green enters with shopping bags]
Dave: [weakly] Is that you, angel of mercy?
Green: And a happy new year to you, too. Dave. Yes, it's me. Though I'm actually the Angel of Binary.
Dave: Lady Computer hasn't stopped sending me food safety videos. Literally all year, so far.
Green: Good. Maybe you'll learn something.
[Lady Computer displays a turkey with a red cross through it]
Dave: I know, I know. But Mrs Microwave was so eager to help.
Green: Your appliances aren't actually alive, Dave.
Dave: I dunno, Greenie. I think Mrs Microwave was just trying to make me a nice warm meal. She looks after me.
[Dave reaches for another Cola]
Green: Should you be drinking that after being on a Cola IV for a whole day?
Dave: Mr Standard Fridge says it's medicinal.
Green: You've learned nothing, have you?
[Master Air Fryer beeps from the kitchen]
Dave: See? Even Master Air Fryer's worried about me!
Green: I think Master Air Fryer might be on the fritz. It's been showing an Error message since you plugged it in.
Dave: No, it's clearly sympathy beeping.
Green: No, it literally says "ERROR" on the little readout.
Dave: That could mean anything. We need time to get to know our appliances. You can't just presume there's something wrong.
[Lady Computer starts playing "Staying Alive"]
Dave: At least someone's trying to cheer me up.
Green: Anyway, I brought you some actual medicine. This stuff's supposed to be great for upset tummies.
Dave: But it's room temperature! Can't Mrs Microwave just...
Green: NO MORE MICROWAVING THINGS!
[A frustrated beep is heard from the kitchen]
Green: You aren't helping, Mrs Microwave.
