JNKPlat - An Online Dilemma
17th August, 2018
As I start work on the editor's GUI, something's suddenly struck me.
So far I've not bothered to implement any Online functionality to my 3DS Homebrew, and today as I started work on the editor, it hit me why that was the case.
My 3DS's Wifi is disabled.
I don't want it updating, and breaking my Homebrew Devkit, so I've opted to leave it switched off.
I imagine a lot of other 3DS Homebrew users are in the same boat.
.. So.. This isn't going to work, then, is it!?
I'm going to plough ahead, and try to keep things as simple as I can, file-wise, so that people can upload their levels in a single "All my levels.lev" file and then pop a single "All the online levels.lev" file back onto their memory card.
I think that's probably the easiest way to allow it all to work.
I'll also need to intelligently figure out if levels are duplicated and other such parameters, so the online level listings aren't instantly filled with giant cock-shaped levels.. .... Because you just KNOW that's going to happen!!
This is going to be harder than I thought!
