New games every week!

Last month, I set aside the whole month to create a nice and lengthy month-long project. Blockman Worlds surprisingly took just a week to create, and then I was right back to the regular AGameAWeek schedule!!
This month, I opted to delve into something even bulkier, and the resulting game is really quite nice. Oddly, it took alarmingly longer than expected, so isn't quite as chunky as I'd like it to have been.
As it is, though, it's a wonderful little highly playable local-multiplayer edition of DynaBlaster, or Bomberman, or if you're a fan of the Amiga Shareware Classic, Master Blaster!!

Grab a few controllers, and get your friends to join in! This game is best played in multiplayer.

Although I've attempted to add AI CPU players into the mix, they're kinda dumb and will frequently kill themselves in extreme moments of stupidity. If you can manage to reach one of them before they've killed themselves, they're also alarmingly easy to confuse and kill. In all honesty, there's better AI systems out there, and you can't expect to have a perfect AI within the short amount of time that I've spent creating this game!

Having said that, the AI has taken up a worrying amount of my dev-time. I'd say, around about 2 weeks straight was spent tweaking and adjusting the AI.
What started as a quick "I'll just add an AI to keep single-player's occupied" ended up being a serious focal point during the development of this game.
Most of the powerups, settings and, especially the themes, were hurredly bundled together over the course of the past few days.
But controller support seems fairly stable, and the game's engine is nice and sturdy, so if you've got a bunch of friends around and a decent set of controllers plugged in, you oughta get a good kick out of it.

You can Download JNKBombers here for Windows, play a slightly crappier none-controller-support edition in your browser. You can also grab it on your OUYA, so you can play it nice and big, in HD on your telly, with all your mates... Mmmmm!!
