I'm not happy with how this week's ALChoon turned out, so have decided to semi-scrap the lyrical version of the song.

"Render, at the end of the day, is [just] Render, innit?"
So says one of our plasterers the other day.
I'd recorded all manner of saws and hammers and scraping, whilst the builders and plasterers were doing their work, and this little snippet made me and Mum LOL quite a bit.
I smooshed all the sounds together, wrapping a little melody, and adding the "Rendering" snippet as a weird background warped thing.
It kinda comes together, but..
I'm really not happy with it.
Every time I try to listen to it, all I can think of is "Aaaarg, All the noise!!!"
And when you add the lyrics on top, it becomes infinitely worse to listen to.
So, I stripped the vocals back out, and have ended up with just melody and workman noises!
The vocal version can be found in the Bonus Tracks.
So, um.. Yeah, inverted, this week!!
Int. Dave's apartment - Morning
[Dave is meditating in his zen garden. Green enters, looking slightly suspicious.]
Green: Morning, Dave. Still communing with your rocks?
Dave: Shh, Greenie! I'm aligning my chickens for maximum zen office repair potential.
Green: Chakras, Dave. The word is Chakras.
Dave: Don't be so sure, Greenie..
Green: Right, of course. Say, you haven't heard any strange noises coming from my end of the building, have you?
Dave: Greenie, I can barely hear myself think over the sound of zen. Why?
Green: Oh, no reason. Just... checking the acoustics.
[Green hurries out]
[Dave is tiptoeing down the hallway, holding a glass to his ear against Green's door]
Dave: [muttering] What are you up to, Greenie?
[Suddenly, there's a loud crash from inside, followed by a distinctive "meow"]
Dave: [gasps] No way! He didn't!
[Dave bursts into Green's apartment]
Dave: Greenie! You got another cat?!
Green: [startled] Dave! Haven't you heard of knocking?
Dave: When do we ever knock?! You got a kitty!
Green: This is different! Zen Master Whiskers is... well, zen!
Dave: Zen? It looks like it's destroying your apartment!
Green: He's just... rearranging my feng shui.
[Scene Three]
Int. Green's apartment - Evening
[Dave and Green are sitting on the couch, watching the ginger cat play with a ball of yarn]
Dave: I can't believe you got another cat after what happened with Andy's demon feline.
Green: Zen Master Whiskers is different. Look how peaceful he is!
[The cat suddenly pounces on Dave's shoe]
Dave: Ow! Peaceful, huh?
Green: He's just... testing your zen resolve.
Dave: [sighs] Well, at least he's not attacking your computer cables. Yet.
Green: [laughs] Dave, Zen Master Whiskers is staying. And he'll be super Zen, and nothing bad could possibly happen.
Dave: Fine, but if he comes near my eyebrows, he's out.
Green: Deal. Now, want to help me teach him some zen office repair techniques?
Dave: [laughing] Oh, Greenie.. I think one zen office repairman is enough for this building!
[As Dave and Green laugh, Zen Master Whiskers settles between them, purring contentedly]
Dave: Awwww!
