Haven't had time for one of these for a while..

Suno got an update, yesterday, and my usual thing over at SoCoder is to post a silly remix of the Um Bongo Advert's song.. Free from artificial ingredients..

But when I went to the SoCoder "Suno - AI Tunes" thread, with all the mp3 tags, and all the loading.. Goodness me, was it slow..
It doesn't normally "feel" that slow, but with my running the MacOS Beta, the betas tend to.. .. I dunno.. They seem to over-analyse every single file.
So when the browser's trying to load all the MP3's, all at once, and the server's wizzing away and the Mac's drive is caching them, and every cached file gets scanned and analysed..
It's not good.

It's really not good.

So I posted the three UmBongo covers, but decided that I also oughta do something about all the slowness.
Nothing like having a half-knackered beta to push you into doing things.

Last time I was forced to do a website update because the Beta was making it hard was..
... Oh yeah, it's the same thing! It was the AudioTags on THIS site being all invisible because of Apple's "Glass" thing.
Over here I decided to replace the Audio tag with the new PlatAmp thing, so.
Why not do the same on SoCoder!?

So that's what I did. It took a while. I was doing it live, and breaking the entire forum over and over again, but after some to and fro-ing, I finally managed to get the new functionality into the site.
It's still "PlatAmp", though. I need to fix it, and it could do with a little enhancing to make everything a little nicer.

Anything I do enhance will, of course, be copy+pasted back over here again, later.

But, yeah, it changes any mp3 BBCode to the new "Play/Queue" button set, and that opens up the companion music player in a window.
Most Excellent.

I also got it to scan an entire thread for mp3s, and pop an extra "Play All" button at the bottom of the thread, alongside a YouTube play button which collects any YouTube videos it's found and turns those into a playlist, too.
