Between about 5 and 5:30, my head started screaming at me, letting me know that it wants to do a new version of Poke 5,n for the Shoebox, and potentially even a version for Petit Switch, too.
I tried my best to get back to sleep, but it would just..not..shut..up!

Might take a day off, today.
I finished off this week's Foldapuz game late last night, bringing the total number of games done this year up to a nice round 50.

A quick "game" tutorial type thing for a silly little game, created using PetitCom/SmileBASIC on the Nintendo Switch.
If you've grabbed a copy from the Japanese eShop, you should be able to follow along, since the program itself now includes a complete English translation.
I'll assume you're using the program with a USB Keyboard attached, but if not, most of the keyboard functionality can be accessed by hitting the [-] button on your controller.

From the main menu, hit t...

Week Two, on the Island.

The week started with a bang, as all the villagers gathered for the opening of the island's campsite.
Even Mr Angry Brows decided to be slightly less mean, on this occasion.

Michael Fernie has been posting a bunch of ideas into the new game suggestion box. Feel free to post your own!
One of his suggestions is actually a game I've been thinking about myself, for the past few weeks.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

Time to eat up all the biscuits, but can Roland manage to figure out how to get hold of them?
If you've a Switch, and have downloaded SmileBASIC, you can grab a copy of the game using the Public Key...

You know what I REALLY should do?
I should code a data transfer tool that uses the JoyCon's IR Camera to pick up data blasts from the PC, so that I can send information that I create on the PC over to the Switch.
But I haven't done that, yet.

Alan suggests

The fact that the die is white at the beginning of your turn, and also white after you roll makes it unclear at a glance whether the die's current value is your actual move. Not sure what the solution is. Maybe dimming the die or displaying question marks on its faces in pre-roll mode, and the normal white with pips in post-roll mode?
A valid point.
The "Popomatic" function has a "Locked/Unlocked" value, so I can use that to decide when to draw v1 or v2.

Not sure if you still develop for OUYA but I play all of your games on there and I had a game idea that I wanted to share with you.
Oh, how I miss the OUYA.

With JMTrackr "done, enough" for Petit Switch, I can now happily move on to actually making games on the thing.
I've made a quick list of things I should attempt, today.

I've never had to wear a wrist strap, before, but the sheer agony in my wrist, yesterday, was on a whole other level.

Over the past week or so, a growing pain in my wrist has been causing me to slow down my coding, and I think I finally worked out what it is that's doing it.

The new laptop was supposed to be arriving today, giving me yesterday to finish off most of the important pieces of this week's game.
Instead, the new laptop turned up yesterday, meaning I pretty much wasted the entire day playing Mr Reinstaller.

It doesn't help that my keyboard occasionally does double-taps, so about 5 or 6 deleted versions had me typing things like moodel, or cllick..
You can actually see a couple of double spaces in this version, but I figured they're passable!
Bah, humbug.
