Yesterday I made a very simple start on a new JNKPlat, for Petit Switch/SmileBASIC4.

Over on DeviantArt, Ninjinister posted the following piece of artwork.

Modelled after the "original" Platdude, from the early, early, early JNKPlat in QBasic, back in the days of DOS.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!

It's all well and good ploughing ahead with a Shoebox game for the week, but I can't leave out Petit Switch!
So, what will the Petit game be?!

Blimey, General thoughts!
Usually I don't get a chance to look at the ins and outs of the general frameworks and such, once I've started using them.
But the new Javascript-based frameworks allow for realtime tweaking, and also fixing old broken things along the way, too.
Cool!!

A couple of days ago, cooolgamer uploaded a bunch more levels for JNKPlat.

There are (IIRC) 6 new packs of levels, so oodles to play through. Hopefully there's nothing "too" hard, but unfortunately I haven't actually had any time to even play the things yet. AGameAWeek is relentless
You can either download them in-game, or head over to The Level Archive to download the level file yourself.

Player "Cristo" has submitted four lovely level packs for JNKPlat.
You can either find them in the Online Levels section of the game, or grab them here if you need to download them manually (eg 3DS).

I was very lucky that in my first game I did not get into any snake tiles and got the help of one ladder tile to reach near the end zone much before the AI.
Yup, this is a game 100% down to luck.
I'd like to perhaps remove the sheer-luck, by making the moves maybe Card based, or something? Not quite sure how well that would work, and it honestly wouldn't be "Snakes and Ladders" anymore.
So.. Perhaps another type of board game in the future?

10. Roland Eats a Stale Biscuit

First puzzle game of 2018. If it was not so insanely difficult it will be higher up in the list.

Hopefully I can get a bit more done, today!

I spent near enough all day, yesterday, fighting the fight with Emscripten.

A quick batch of JNKPlat levels, today, as I couldn't think of anything else to do for the Advent of Creativity!

Yesterday was a bit of a rest day, as I gradually wore myself down with all the coding I've been doing recently.

Otakupunk's sent a lovely set of Xmas Themed levels for JNKPlat.

You might also like to grab the complete level file from the Level Database, too. Simply pop it in the same folder as the exe, or if you're playing on 3DS, dump it into the agawsave folder.

Apologies that there's no "Collexion", this year.
With the sheer size of JNKPlat, which scaled the entirety of the past few months, I ended up abandoning this year's Advent Calendar entirely.

As I struggle to decide on what to do about a Xmas launch, I'm jumping about from unfinished projects, half started ones, and then things like Foldapuz which will never be complete, as it's just another great big pile of games!

Thanks to user "Bangers" (Who is apparently also called Steve) there's a couple of new level packs to be played through, although.. Sweet lord are they the hard variety!!!
Update : Steve got the pack name and author name mixed up!

The two packs join the other 6 level packs previously created by me and @RSKGames, in the online level select.

Finally got my theme approved, and in the time it took, I also added a Blockman Theme.

In addition, this site has posted thoughts in .. I think Spanish?! Not sure.. Google Translate suggests it's Spanish, and who am I to argue!?
