A decade is over, and what have I done? 373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more! Oh, and a brain tumour! I really need to stop playing with this knitting thing, and get back to doing games!

I spent most of yesterday wrapped up in my knitting..

Spent a few hours, yesterday, working on a better Maze Generator. I was planning to integrate it into Foldapuz, last night, but lazyitis took control, and that never got done!

A busy day, yesterday, as I managed to get most of this week's Petit Switch game done, and then started thinking about Emergency Shoebox Games again.. Just in case!

.. And that was as far as I got.

The game is still on schedule. .. ... Just not the same schedule it was on, yesterday!

I took most of the day off, yesterday. Writing 4 games a week is harder than it sounds!!!

I might have to redraw the pockets of the Pool game a little. The balls are having one heck of a hard time fitting through the tiny gap between the corner cushions!

Browsercade games

I've started on a remake of Endless Forest for this week's Browsercade game. I'm hoping to try to add some sort of extra elements into play, but right now I'm at a loss as to what those might be.

The Microbes game is coming along nicely for Petit Switch, and I *think* I'm making a Minigolf for Shoebox, but that all depends on how well the controls work.

I should probably try to finish off Blockman in the Browsercade, today, but I'm slightly worried that there's a teensy bit of slowdown in the engine, so I think today's plan should probably be to track that down.

I've had to add a limit to how many hexes I'm drawing on the Petit-Switch screen at once!!

The gradient background in the above screenshot has been drawn to a secondary canvas, which is then redrawn onto the main canvas. This seems to work reasonably well, and should hopefully allow for a fair number of generated backgrounds and other such effects, without requiring huge 1024x1024 background images to be downloaded. The whole thing runs a little slowly on my Samsung Galaxy 10 A, however, so I'm going to have to add an option to disable the buffer when necessary. But otherwise.. Yeah.. W...

Things I need to do, today. 1. Post morning Blog+Pixelart 2. Socoder Newsletter 3. ALChoon 4. Finish off Alien "something" for Petit Switch 5. Go for a health assessment in the middle of town.. Ugh.. Not looking forward to this one. ..

My Petit-Switch engine runs with nothing more than 16x16 pixel sprites, so if I'm going to create any form of Alien Deathmatch on there, I'm going to first have to redraw all the sprites.
