Sorry to get you excited, there, but the little dungeon puzzle thing has already been scrapped.

A quick "game" tutorial type thing for a silly little game, created using PetitCom/SmileBASIC on the Nintendo Switch.
If you've grabbed a copy from the Japanese eShop, you should be able to follow along, since the program itself now includes a complete English translation.
I'll assume you're using the program with a USB Keyboard attached, but if not, most of the keyboard functionality can be accessed by hitting the [-] button on your controller.

From the main menu, hit t...

I started the day off with an idea in mind.
I created a little sprite of a bubble, and formulated some kind of a plan for a game.

You might've noticed an alarming number of "Top 10" posts, yesterday!
Ideally I should've started doing that about a week or two ago, to get all 10 posted by New Year, but..
Meh, whatever!
If you've not been voting in the polls, please do, as I'll be gathering up the winners of all 10 polls to make a topper-top-10 list at the end of all this.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

Didn't get an awful lot done to the game, yesterday. I spent hours fiddling with the background methodology, and testing out various elements, testing for all manner of future games.

Blimey, General thoughts!
Usually I don't get a chance to look at the ins and outs of the general frameworks and such, once I've started using them.
But the new Javascript-based frameworks allow for realtime tweaking, and also fixing old broken things along the way, too.
Cool!!

RSKGames returns with his thoughts on recent games.
You can Play Shoebox of Games here, which are all Mouse/Touch controlled games, which run 100% in the browser.
Or you can Play Browsercade here, which are all Keyboard/Gamepad controlled games, for a more Arcade-like experience, but which also run in your browser.

Game number three in the Browsercade sees Platdude running through the endless forest, smashing balls at the enemy creatures within.
You can Play Endless Forest in the Browsercade.

I've started on a remake of Endless Forest for this week's Browsercade game.
I'm hoping to try to add some sort of extra elements into play, but right now I'm at a loss as to what those might be.

Don't worry, it isn't the Twelve Days of Christmas, already!!
The endless hopping mechanic returns. Bounce on the backs of the three hens as much as you can, without touching the ground.
You only get three jumps from the ground, so repeated bouncing is the best way to get a high score.
Tip : Hold A to bounce longer and higher.

Today's task is the same as the one long endless task that I did yesterday.
Yesterday was Foldapuz, today will be Shoebox.
Taking the screenshots, doing the logos and icons, uploading to the server, adding links, and hacking the database to change the date on the games.
Shouldn't take ALL DAY like it did yesterday, though, as I'm fairly sure I know what I'm doing.. .. Maybe!!
*ugh*

JMTrackr is a Music Randomisation engine, which can create an endless variety of music, based upon a set of prewritten melody patterns.
If you've a Switch, and have downloaded SmileBASIC, you can grab a copy of the game using the Public Key...

@RSKGames

I was very lucky that in my first game I did not get into any snake tiles and got the help of one ladder tile to reach near the end zone much before the AI.
Yup, this is a game 100% down to luck.
I'd like to perhaps remove the sheer-luck, by making the moves maybe Card based, or something? Not quite sure how well that would work, and it honestly wouldn't be "Snakes and Ladders" anymore.
So.. Perhaps another type of board game in the future?
