During October and November, there'll be no AGameAWeek, as I'm concentrating on getting this year's Advent Calendar up and running.

Yesterday was spent tweaking various difficulty settings. There are 11 (0-10) available difficulties being coded into the level generator, and this video shows what happens at Level 3.
Level 0 is easiest, with fewer easier to manage baddies, whilst level 10 is full of spikes and nasty Duck-Turrets.
Today I'...

After a good 28'ish hours, the game appears to be picking up pace. Hopefully the pace will stay up for some time, and not peter out in the way that most of my games tend to do!
First day's sales (keep in mind that Day One was only about 4 hours) was 9 whole sales.. oooh!
Day two's not shown up in my stats, yet, as it's too early in the day for that sort of thing. Apple's timezones and schedules are all over the frickin' place!! One day starts at one point, and end...

A couple of months ago, I mentioned this game in passing..

And immediately started looking into remaking it.
It was just after I'd released ChuckABall, was midway through BounceABall, and considered this as a possible extra "ABall" game to fit alongside them.

An unexpected arrival, as my major 2-week-long project somehow manages to cram itself into the space of just a week.
Not entirely sure how that happened, if I'm honest..

Coming up on Tuesday, "My Little Rescue Helicopter!", a nice retro game with a helicopter, and some evil enemy aircraft!

A lovely little shoot-em-up/rescue game with good old-fashioned old-skool graphics.
Then, next week...

In the first of a (hopefully) full year of monthly Platdude related releases, Platdude gets to wander through a giant forest, battling enemy creatures, and avoiding deadly spikes!

This week we're going to be doing the first part of something that may or may not actually happen!!
Since last year was Nintendo's Year of Luigi, the guys over at RetroRemakes have decided that this year oughta be the Year of Horace. I challenged site-admin RobF to attempt to create a different Horace game every month, and post it to OneGameAMonth.
I'm not sure he's going to do it, if I'm honest.
But the challenge was set, and although unspoken, I figured it would only be fair to challeng...

Over this past week, I've been inexplicably productive, and although I *could* spend some time bulking up my games, I'm instead focusing on the classic AGameAWeek rule of "Just get the game done!"
As such, I've not only finished off RetroBall, ready for Tuesday (or already on OUYA), I've also actually managed to make ANOTHER entire game, this week!
That's TWO games!! Blimey!!
But I'm not launching both. That would be silly! Best to stockpile these things, and stick to the regular Tuesday...

What's with the track?

BlastTrax was originally devised as a classic Retro-styled GrandPrix-like racing game, with weapons.
You would drive through the course, shoot the other drivers, and make your way through to the end.

Although this week seems like a quick re-use of old sprites, I can assure you that they are in fact a completely different set of sprites!!
Brand new Puzzobomb sprites, ready for an all new Puzzobomb game!
But before I tackle the lengthy process of making a whole bucketload of levels, let's see what it's like without any levels at all...

Part of SpikeDislike 2 will be it's various game modes.
I've a few simple ideas in mind, and may be asking for additional ideas in the future, if I start running out!
Meanwhile, here's the first to be fully integrated, and playable, and kinda fun.

I decided to start a Dev diary here, for all my DS Developing. I figured people would eventually stumble across it, and start reading away at all the fun coding. Either that, or they'll completely ignore these bits, and just download the Experimental stuff like they usually do.
Either way, this is going to be a part dev-diary, part progress report, and part release schedule for all things DS.
I currently have 4 DS Projects on the go. They are Stringy Things, JNKPlat, An Alien Breed type clone,...
