Yeay!
Thanks to all for testing.
Rychan - I see the hitbox detection has been improved somewhat also which is cool
A little more forgiving, this time. The original game was a little "too" mean when it came to bird vs flame hits!

If you haven't yet tried out Flappadiddle-Doo's first release, please give it a try, and let me know how well it does or doesn't work on your given system.
Thanks for trying.

First test!

We'll call this the proto-test, since I'm still not 100% sure things are going to run AT ALL, let alone well!!

    4th February 2018
This Tuesday we're kicking things off slowly.
Each Tuesday through February, I'll be adding to Flappadiddle-Doo, to bulk it up beyond the original concept, and fixing up any quirks in my new Framework along the way.
But once we hit March, I'll be heading into the regularly unplanned insanity of AGameAWeek.

I had to rejig a small amount of the framework, yesterday, to allow me to access the controller's thumbsticks separately from the d-pad.

Finally got the Bonus Eggs working the way they should.
You can now collect them, flap around with them, and earn extra points by having them with you.
Next up is adding Flame Bars back into the mix, to make the levels a little more difficult to navigate around.

Scoring's been added to Flappadiddle-Doo, and the new bonus mechanic is integrated to the scoring, but isn't yet added to the gameplay.

Yesterday ended up being much more productive than I intended it to be.
With the Linux re-installation, the CPC coding and the ALChoon, I managed to get a fair amount of stuff done.

Planned to do coding, today. And, though I did do some coding, it wasn't anything to do with the Framework!

The framework's looking quite stable, but there's no guarantees that it is!
As such, I'm currently thinking of making February a full month of Flappadiddle 2.

Each weekly release will be a slightly more fixed up edition of the game, and hopefully over the course of February, I can build the game up to a decent enough standard, and drag the Framework along with it.

A familiar set of spikes to dislike, and a nice variable path to follow.
Next will be adding in other objects to play with!

People might look at the fact that I spent all day, yesterday, working on an "unrelated" Icon Resizer project, but the new framework needed a new version of the tool.

Having spent a couple of hours playing Flappadiddle, last night, I wondered what a new version of Flappadiddle might turn out like.
I should probably work on getting the framework up and running before doing that, though..

    1. Finish the framework!
This is the biggest item on the list.
I'm currently considering cobbling together a half-assed version so that I can start releasing my first few Windows games.

    This week's game is scrapped.
The idea seemed sound. Take random obscure animal, try to make a game from it.

The replacement game is coming along rather well, although there's not much of a game in there, yet.

Tonight I gave Flappadiddle a quick test on iOS.
I've expanded the "ground" on either side, making them slightly taller and wider.
This is where your thumbs will go whilst playing the game.

Let's take a peek at their comments, and share some random thoughts, too!

    RSKGames

Initial Thoughts: Looking at the screenshots during the development I felt the game is going to be a fun flying game like "Flapaddidle" but the use of a bird and the background are the only similarities between the 2 games. The gameplay is totally different game. In this game the bird can only fly or dive once per key press no flapping aro...
