The game was originally intended to be a Q*Bert clone, but with a less diagonal approach. People REALLY dislike the diagonal controls of Q*Bert!
Once flattened, however, the game actually ended up being more like Oh Mummy, with the end result being somewhere inbetween.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

In order to properly test my onscreen touch controls, I'm going to need some kind of quick playable game, so that's going to be today's task.
Something short and simple, but complex enough to really put the controls to the test.

I bought the domain a couple of days ago, but only got around to setting it up properly, late last night.
A more or less simple addition to the overall chaos of AGameAWeek.

This morning, I posted a picture with Greenie at the side of the Four in-a Row board, and wondered if I should attempt to integrate Greenie into the game, somehow.

Just to be extra sure that it'd work in the slightest, I added a quick test loader to Shoebox for the WordList functionality.

I spent about 2 hours, yesterday, trying to solve one incredibly bizarre issue.

I think my head's a bit sleepy, right now!
Must be all the Advent of Creativity that's done me in, or the three or four glasses of Baileys that I had over Xmas!

Hmm.. Yesterday didn't go very well at all..
The plan was as such.
1. Design Barrel sprite generator.
2. Put barrels into game, with boxes and crates and other such things.

Lots of "More" planned for today.
More levels for JNKPlat.
More tiles for JNKPlat.
More puzzles for Foldapuz.

Yesterday was quite a productive day, but one that needed a whole boatload of tweaks just to get the pushable blocks to work correctly.
Exactly half of the intended "original" tiles are currently functional.

I was doing the compiles for this week's game late last night, and as I sat in front of the Mac I figured I might as well try to do the trailer on there.

This week's game is currently alarmingly difficult.
With all the little bats floating around inside the cramped space, it can be extremely difficult to make simple moves without getting caught out.

After each game's release, I get a huge influx of opinions and thoughts from a variety of different people.

I remember playing Mini Clampett last year. It is a very addictive game and as it was the first game to get the online scoreboard feature, lot of competition was there to get the highscores. I tried the hard mode today and got nowhere near top 5 highs...

Clampett's returned in this odd little platforming game.
