General rule in life : Don't Poke the Bear.
Other similar expressions include tidbits such as "That's just the way it is", and references to Burning Bridges..
Over the past few days, I've heard pretty much every single one of these, and a whole host more.
About a week ago, IGN posted a trailer for SpikeDislike2.

Other times, however, it brings about a classic game which makes me wonder why I've not remade it any sooner.

AGameAWeek Gold looks back through the huge archive each day, to see if I've previously released anything on this day. There's not always a game to play, but occasionally we'll stumble upon long forgotten gems.
Today's is especially nice!

Happy Blockman Day!
It's been 4 years since the last Blockman Gets game was released, so it's about time we had another!
Blockman Gets Hungry strips out the boulders, takes out the power-pellets, and instead uses fruit for various functions.
There's four different fruit to eat.

As I was falling asleep, last night, I had a great idea for a new game.
I didn't jot it down, and now I can't remember what it was, except it had something to do with a stickman running around a black and white maze.
...
bugger..

@Jayenkai OK - simple pitch: guiding a balloon up a maze with spikes to avoid, avoiding gusts from fans & speed keeps increasing. Workable?

A game? Again?
Yup! Made a (URL "https://www.playmycode.com/play/game/jayenkai/not-the-same">nice little mazey thing), where you have to trek around a random maze. The maze isn't hard, but it's one of those nice "harder if you don't do it right!" style of things that I have a knack of making.
Not sure why I keep doing those!
I just seem to like their insane difficulty!
Perhaps, in reality, my games are actually really really piss easy, and it's just me that keeps playing them wron...

A simple little maze game.
Guide "Generic 8-bit chr #3" to grab all the little gems.
You can't step on two same-coloured tiles one after the other, and try not to crumble the floors or that'll kill you, too..

PlayMyCode games no longer work

Time taken : 1 hour, and about 2 minutes!

This isn't important..
I just sent off a nice lengthy reply to PixelProspector.com's Authentic Kaizen, all about plans for the future of the site, the possibility of me wrapping my head around Flash, thoughts about new new new new newer NeonPlat, and some kind of unpondered random top down maze thing.
None of that's really important, just yet. It's all forward planning, and it all requires bits of learning all over the place.
Less importantly, halfway through the email, I used the term "W...

54 games. Last year I only managed about 30-odd, so I think that's pretty good going.
Sure, it might not have truely actually been A Game "Per" Week, but I did at least keep the ratio up.
If I hadn't taken the time out to build the framework, I probably would've actually achieved the target a little better
The stats show I was pretty much on top of things up until that point, but then things got slower and slower until my buffer zone was all dried up.
Anyhoo, this is a n...

Kept the random title.. It'll do!
Not sure if it works better as "Kee, Bo and Ard", or just "Kee Bo Ard", but either way, here we have it!
Kee, Bo and Ard must all be guided through the maze. They have to collect all the pickups, and once they're all done, you can progress to the next level.

By the end of this month there'll be a PC version, and a Linux version, too.
That's hopefully apparent by now.

A classic Blockman game, in the style he was meant to be in! Sure, he looks great doing his whole "Pacman maze, but hungry" thing, but this is the style he made his name in, so it seems only fitting that this would be where he finds his Mario Costume.
And not just once. He can find it over and over again!

aka BadgeBox, because I kept changing it's name, but forgot to update the exe's title! d'oh!
A nice simple maze game, with health points and power points.
Collect the gems to up your health and power, and collect Badges to increase your abilities.
If you manage to collect the four outer "Cornerstone Badges" you'll open up an exit in the level, which completes the game.

Because there may or may not have been resulting copyright issues, I've left this post on the backburner until the magazine went off the shop shelves. Usually I'd happily scan in a bit of a page if my games are mentioned, but this time it's a whole entire page, and that's a completely different kettle of fish. (Although, to be fair, I'...
