The game is still on schedule.

... Just not the same schedule it was on, yesterday!

I've a "thing" working in Petit Switch.
It's a nice swirly thing that I thought was going to end up like Gravity Bombs, but Petit Switch seems to be struggling at rendering 2000 lines, at various widths and alpha transparency, with physics and gravity involved in those lines, in order to make a pretty picture!!

Taking a significant chunk of the Foldapuz/Unfolded, and JNKsg code as the basis, I've managed to get a fairly decent drawing engine up and running.
Text, Ovals, Rects, Lines, Plot, and the all important DrawImg are all in, and functioning as expected, albeit without any recolouring for DrawImg. (Since I'm using basic Javascript and HTML5, I'm forfeitting the ability to recolour my sprites)

After each release, an influx of a comment bombards the pages of the site, and we get to see what people thought of the game.
This week, RSKGames has decided to chip in, with thoughts of the gravity based, planet blasting game, Orbital Annihilation.
You can play Orbital Annihilation here.

In Orbital Annihilation the player has to wait till the planets are aligned at the right positions in the orbits to fire and destroy the selected planet. Takes a bit of patience a...

I spent FAR too long playing with the door/exit swirly thing, yesterday, and even after all that time, I'm still not quite happy with the results.

Although August 13th isn't a significant date in my health matters, it is the date that I wrote this rather lengthy blog post, back in 2012.
It's now become a bit of a tradition for me to post an annual update on this date.

The posts are given the title "Jiggity", because my original post was titled "Home Again, Home Again, Jiggity Jig"!

The enemies for this week's game are slightly different than I imagined, but they seem to be spawning and roaming about the level in a decent way.

After spending hours retweaking the 3DS part of the framework, I'm now mostly confident that everything's a little more compatible.

It all comes together to make a nice and simplistic little credits screen.

Each week, after I post a game, I get a nice set of comments from people.
Let's take a look at this week's!

RollyBlob is a great puzzle game. The puzzle game mechanics are done
wonderfully. The 60 second timer keeps you on your toes to find the
solution fast.

I've attempted about three different gametypes, this week, and have pretty much abandoned them all!
Hopefully today I can manage to get at least one of those working properly.

Super Mario Maker!

After waiting until 3:30 in the afternoon, the game finally showed up. Bah, humbug!
If you'd like to play some of my oddities, I am (of course) Jayenkai in the Miiverse doohickey.
I *think* it's that easy, anyway. Not sure!

...Waiting for the game to turn up gave me plenty of time to add a level ending to my levels, which takes the form of a lovely swirly line which teleports you off to the next level.

This time last year, I reattempted the game Microbes, but it didn't really work out as well as I'd hoped for. This year, I opted to give it another go, and have mixed in oodles of lovely glowyness! Seems to have done the trick!

Forewarning : I'm not entirely sure if I'll be able to finish off this week's game in time!
For one thing, it feels like it should be a little more complex than it currently is. Loads of extra stuff could be added, but I probably don't have the time to add it all in.
Secondly, however, is the current issue I'm having, health-wise. All of 2012's nastyness has left me slightly off-balance, and kinda queazy a bit. For the most part, I'm managing quite well, but this week's game..

Not Good Advice

The following is not advice, and should not be taken as such.
People often ask me how I manage to do AGameAWeek. Particularly, how I manage to cram everything into a single week, and then somehow manage to do exactly the same thing every other week, without going crazy.
What follows might possibly help you understand a little more of what goes on in the world of AGameAWeek. Or it might just be a whole bunch of rambling waffling text.
