Well, the Horse/Knight/Polo game didn't go very well. Time for a quick emergency Shoebox game.

I've been wrangling the "Football as a board game" concept for most of the day, but "fairness" is putting me off.

Awake until 4:30am again. This hot weather isn't doing AGameAWeek any favours. It's hard to code when you're sticking to the couch!!

The laptop's back out, and I've mostly given up with the "iPad as a Laptop" thing.

Day two of using the iPad as a Laptop replacement, and the many issues are apparent.

Thursdays are typically my busiest day, full of blogs and newsletters, music and more. But today, I have an extra challenge.

Spent most of last night trying to get Win10 installed on the MacMini, using BootCamp.

Attempt number #359709537 of the website overhaul. This one went a little further than previous attempts, but the giant sidebar wasn't that great, and the way the blogs were being formatted looked ugly as heck. *Scrapped*

I enjoyed my day off, yesterday. Got a few none-gamedev things worked out, and even started playing with paper again. Wondering whether to bring back my old Paper Arcade crafts, expand the DVD Case images to fit properly and include a back, and maybe even some oldskool cardboard boxes and cassette inlays. .. Yep, even when not coding, my mind is fizzling away, trying to keep itself busy and not worry about all the doom and gloom outside.

A quick "game" tutorial type thing for a silly little game, created using PetitCom/SmileBASIC on the Nintendo Switch. If you've grabbed a copy from the Japanese eShop, you should be able to follow along, since the program itself now includes a complete English translation. Week Two, on the Island. The week started with a bang, as all the villagers gathered for the opening of the island's campsite. Even Mr Angry Brows decided to be slightly less mean, on this occasion.

(As in.. A board made of cards!) Move around the Card Board and score points as you go. Points are awarded when you land on an unturned card, based on the card's value (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13) If you land on a Diamond, you'll earn twice as much. A Heart will give you another go. Landing on a Spade will cause you to Lose the points, whilst landing on a Club will award the points to all the other players.
