So, I see that CSS has finally evolved enough that simple subtractions are now actually doable.
About smegging time!!

Within each cluster of four, the left value is the Total (Add/Sum) of the top and bottom values, whilst the right value is the Product (Multiply) of the top and bottom.
Use deduction and maths to solve all the boxes.
You can Print sheets of puzzles, here or alternatively Play it in your browser.

I've been asked how I achieve my scrolling backgrounds, especially since (as you can probably tell from my games) I'm not using "normal" techniques.
So, let's code a quick example, and you can hopefully follow along.
WARNING : This is far from being the ideal, or even the "normal" way of drawing backdrops.
I am NOT the best tutor for programming. I've been coding far too long without getting rid of my bad bad habits, and have been working towards "many games, quickly" techniques, rat...

Playing with Pills..

Thought of a puzzle game idea, last night, spawned by this week's SoCoder Word of the Week.
Pillbox.. Seems obvious, just from the name!
I'll be making that, today.

A quick "game" tutorial type thing for a silly little game, created using PetitCom/SmileBASIC on the Nintendo Switch.
If you've grabbed a copy from the Japanese eShop, you should be able to follow along, since the program itself now includes a complete English translation.
I'll assume you're using the program with a USB Keyboard attached, but if not, most of the keyboard functionality can be accessed by hitting the [-] button on your controller.
From the main menu, hit the Make a Prog...

Right, I've had this idea bubbling about for a week or so.
It's almost fermented, but I think I should be able to figure out what's going to happen along the way.

This is the alarmingly over-simplified sprite tool that I've been using to do all my Petit Switch games.
Don't expect anything magical!!

For the past couple of months, I've had the plan of a "One Touch Games" framework in mind, but couldn't ever decide on the best name for such a domain.
A week or two ago, I just figured "To hell with it", and opted for SpikeDislike.com instead.

Suggested by Michael Fernie (feel free to make suggestions!) this week's game sees our unnamed hero searching for the key to the dungeon door.
Carrying only a flaming torch, can you defeat the enemies and reach the exit?
You can Play Take This Torch in the Browsercade, on your Browser, on Desktop, Mobile or Tablet.

Spent most of yesterday trying to make this effect look half-decent.
Kinda works, I guess..
The flickering of the torch helps disguise the terrible way I did the light effect. It's not 100%.. It's more like 60%!!
*shrugs*
Now to add gameplay.

A Productive Day

The Foldapuz game took a while to get started, mostly because I didn't have a bloomin' clue what to do. I'm definitely starting to run out of ideas for that thing.
Might be time to think about retiring it, or at the very least, not forcing myself to come up with something every single week.
