The maze is now much more maze-like, after a complete overhaul in the manner in which it's being built up.

You'd think I'd've done more than enough maze generation stuff to know how to easily make a nice big sprawling maze by now.. You'd be wrong!! I haven't the foggiest what I'm doing.
