Whose stupid idea was it to make 26 games with AI players?!

Four years ago, I made (URL "https://AGameAWeek.com/2012/08/home-again-home-again-jiggity-jig/">this post), all about my hospital and brain tumour gubbins. It's been a long time since then, so I guess it's time for an update...
In general, my health is about the same. Over the past few years, I've learned the sort of things that can cause me to get queasy, and am attempting to avoid such things. I've learned that over-exerting myself can cause a lot of unexpected sickness, and that if I want a s...

All games at AGameAWeek are (as of typing this : March 2016!) Let's Play Safe.
If you're a Lets Player (is that the right phrase?) you can safely Lets Play any of the games in my archive.

I hate waiting..
And now I'm waiting for 2 sets of people to do their Review thing..
TeamOUYA normally get around to things on a Monday, but with all the chaos going on over there, I'm expecting mid-week at the earliest.

There are now 26 games in the Beta Collexion.
o/hurrayo/
Over the course of today, I'm going to be playing the games over and over and over, to check for bugs and ensure they're as nicely playable as they oughta be, and then it'll be time to upload it.
I'll probably give it the weekend before doing all the uploading, giving me plenty of time to pick out any weird oddities along the way, but all should be good to go by then, so review time shouldn't be "too" lon...

Jumped back and forth through a couple of things, yesterday, but mostly spent more time working on the level builder.
Things are starting to look a little more varied, and thankfully the addition of vertical scrolling has added a little bit more.
I'm currently worried about making sure the levels are completable, as I haven't yet added an AI player run-through of the level, to ensure it's at least playable. I'll have to do that next, I suppose.
In the meantime...

Right in the midst of "AGameAWeek Meets iOS Month", with SpikeDislike3 (hopefully) incoming, and two other games already out, and ...
well..
I'm having a teensy tiny problem with iTunesConnect.
Usually, at the bottom of a game's info-page, is a little "Request Promo Codes" link, which you click on to get promo codes for that game, that you can then send out for promotional reasons.

<img src="https://socoder.net/AGAWGold_128.png" style="float:right;"> AGameAWeek Gold is a daily trip through the Jayenkai Archive, to see if I've previously released any games on this day in history.
Sometimes the day is uneventful. Not even I have managed enough to pad out every single day of the year!
Oddly, though, other days contain more than one game.
And today's one of those days!

When I was building the beta versions of NeonPlat Adventures, it always included a little readme file.
The final release didn't have one, but I figured that was ok, because it was so simple it didn't really need one.
The original readme was only really there to explain that beta peeps shouldn't mention the Calendar, and then I kinda rambled on a bit!
Anyhoo, if you find yourself in desperate need of a readme file, this is it!

For a long time, Moshboy's been building a nice big list of indie games on his Youtube Channel.
There's LOADS to see, and I highly recommend that you spend a month or two playing through them all!
Great stuff.

Another day, and still lots of back-n-forth on NeonPlat decisions.
There's a lot of gameplay emerging, and it'll be fun trying to pull it all off.
Even without a working editor, and still having everything be pseudo random, things are playable, enemy are spawning, and NeonPlat keeps enjoying himself!

Yesterday, Rob from RetroRemakes asked if he could do a spritesheet for Spike Dislike.
After a lot of back and forth, I decided to write a how-to, so any future requests could go a little bit smoother!
Here's some info on how to make 'em, alongside a bunch of all-important rules.

This week I'm going for a good old fashioned shooter.
Stuck between two side limits, fly your ship back and forth, and shoot all the baddies.
At the minute, the baddies only consist of the spike thing from the WarioWare game, but I'm going to start adding proper b...

1. The AngryBirds thing. I'm not about 80% convinced that all was just a co-incidence.
My iPod played up whilst Angry Birds was on, the game went away, the problem went away, the game came back, a different issue occurred.
So, perhaps it was just some odd occurrence.
Who knows.

When I first started to think of "A game that uses Badges" the name "Dungeon Badges" stuck in my head, and slowly but surely evolved into Dungeon Badgers.
Over the course of the week (during which I was finishing off Centipong 2) the idea had evolved to include a garden, a house, a cat, and of course.. mushrooms and... arrghh! A snake!
Today's post is a brief description of the game that was in my head, before it got thrown out and replaced with an idea that could be drawn a wee bit quicker!

MadTinkerer's Net is now ingame.
Simple method of adding it, there's a small blob in the middle of the screen, lining up with the mouse's X position.
The player holds Right mousebutton, and the small blob grows into a little basket/net.
The player collects 3 red pods and gains "Love" magnet mode.

Microbes is (URL "https://AGameAWeek.com/?p=203">here) : Capital letters don't work in the URL, but RetroGamer uses them anyway..

WebUser Magazine have a rather interesting idea. Each issue, they make a list of all the links included in that issue, and post it onto their forum.
Lazy folk who can't be arsed to type can then go to that post on the forum and use that as they flick through the magazine.
I honestly think it's a fantastic...
