The copy+paste functionality now more or less functions like it should, and the new format has been somewhat settled on.. unless I can come up with a better technique to possibly compress the data down any more than it is.

As much as I'm trying my best not to over-moderate things, over at SoCoder, it can be really tricky sometimes.

Mum's been over in Ireland for the past few days, for her sister's funeral.
Yesterday she headed back, and I found myself unable to code as I sat intently watching the tracker, with all its numbers and facts, like some kind of crazy statistician.

Over the course of 2020, I've created a LOT of games. (113!?)
In this post, I pick my personal favourites that I've made this year, for each of the four places that I've been juggling making games for.
If you have your own favourites, let me know in the comments, or bombard me with tweets telling me how wrong I am!

RSKGames has been posting a bunch of comments for some of the older (if you can call games from January and February "Old") Browsercade games.
Let's have a peek!

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

"Episodes 1, 2 and 3 of Stargate Origins are now available online" said the tweet.
I hurried to the Apple AppStore, downloaded the StargateCommand app, and promptly paid £19.99 for "Full Access"

Logging into the Mac, I copied the AGameAWeek Framework folders over, and tried to run a lengthy scrambled mass of "Terminal" (stop calling it Command Prompt, Jay!) commands in order to get it compiling.
After about an hour or so of tweaking the command, I got the thing outputting GLFW errors, which is an improvement from what I started with!

The simplest form of input is Keyboard input.

So far, no progress on the box.
I decided to attempt to get my simple Hello World code to additionally run on Android, so I started by looking into "Android compile C++"
Various sites suggested I need the Android NDK and to look at the included examples.
The examples, of course, weren't bloody well included, and I had to hunt for those, too.

The menu's now working, and the absolute basics of the world functions are in place. The game now runs about as well as it did the last time I made it!!
Today will be about designing more themes and adding new obstacles, as well as hopefully adding a choon or two.

Oh, sod it..
I'm not getting any further with this, so I'm going to scrap it.
I will, however, be keeping a few assets for future reuse.

Since I'm spacing out my dev-time, I should hopefully have more time to do Dev-Diary type posts, as the games progress.
Hopefully, this will give you a little more insight into the sort of decision making that goes into AGameAWeek. I'll also try to take the time to add odd bits and pieces of craptastic-useless-trivia whenever I get the chance.
As frequent players will have noticed, I've been using a strange secondary numbering system for a long while. (Check out the Windows-Downloads to see th...
