Beta Collexion is currently on the frontpage of GameJolt. They've decided to promote it, now that it's a complete 26 game collection.
I crammed my arse off making sure I got the entire game done in time for the 1st of December, so that everyone could enjoy the Advent(ure) over the course of December.
I got it posted, everything was good.

DevelopmentsI managed to get two more games added to the Advent Calendar, yesterday, which means I now only have 3 more left to tackle. A, U and Z. U can be just about anything, but A and Z need to be extra special as they're the first and last games in the collection. As the first one, A will be unlocked before Dec 1st, so will be playable the longest. Z, on the other hand, opens on Xmas Day.. Hmmm No idea what they're going to be. .. DevelopmentsI spent most of yesterday working on a fairly decent game. I stripped the graphics from an old game I'd made, and reconstructed them all within Beta Collexion. Coding the game was also fairly easy to do, and within a couple of hours I had the game recreated within the new engine. Sure, it's a repeat, but it's been a long long long time (2010) since I last played with this game, so that's ok!! I'm now down to just 5 game left to do in the Beta Collexion.. DevelopmentsAfter basically deciding to mostly ignore the Multiplayer Controller code for the time being, I'm jumping back to the Advent Collection and trying my best to code what little I can, in what little time remains. DevelopmentsYesterday was spent coding. Like, properly coding.. Like games and stuff!! It feels such a relief not having to faff about with controller code and other boring background gubbins, and instead spend some time actually making a game for a change. DevelopmentsI Think... *think* that I've finally got all my Multiplayer Controller code working in a suitable manner, for OUYA, Forge, GameStick and Flare, all from the same code. Unfortunately, my Archos GameStick is STILL bugging out. For some bizarre reason, it seems to feed the digital controls as Port One and the analogue controls as Port Two, which would explain why I'm always having to redefine the controls on the bloody thing. Developments"A Quick Test", I said to myself. "Should only take a few minutes", I thought. Two hours later, with no result whatsoever, I opted to call it a night, and instead focussed on Beta Collexion. What was it I wanted to test? DevelopmentsGiven that I've got so much on my plate, what with having to fix up the 42 OUYA games, and get NeonPlat's Cosmic Adventure done, you'd probably not expect me to start a new project right now. Ooops! Last night I took Alpha Collexion, stripped out all the games and graphics, and settled down to do it all again. Work on Beta Collexion has begun, and I'm halfway through Game #1. DevelopmentsGetting close to the end of my first run through all the OUYA games. Only (Only?!) another 15 or so games to go, and we'll have a complete OUYA collection. DevelopmentsYesterday I started formulating the main menu of this game. It's going to work a lot like ChuckABall did, in that there'll be a lot of levels within world, making up a huge collection overall. But, right now, it's nothing to look at. DevelopmentsJumped back and forth through a couple of things, yesterday, but mostly spent more time working on the level builder. Things are starting to look a little more varied, and thankfully the addition of vertical scrolling has added a little bit more. DevelopmentsI spent a lot of yesterday faffing about with the "Start" screen of SpikeDislike3. At first I intended to have a giant spike be in the center of the screen, and in fact that's what happened for quite a while, but .. I'm not sure why, but I decided to switch to circles instead. DevelopmentsYesterday was spent fixing up little things in SpikeDislike3. I got Predetermined Layouts working, but still haven't bothered to implement any sort of collision detection! Still, you can now start a round, have it spawn the spikes in the same place, and then exit back to the menu. Having the spikes show up in the same place, is of course super important in SpikeDislike, as you learn the layouts of the level, and try not to die for ages and ages. DevelopmentsNot a lot of coding got done, yesterday. I continued to fiddle with the new sprites, and got enemies spawning in the level, but then I started thinking about iOS again.
