Awake until 4:30am again. This hot weather isn't doing AGameAWeek any favours.
It's hard to code when you're sticking to the couch!!

As much as I love making gambling games (after all, my IRL name is actually James Gamble) I've tried to steer away from them for the past decade or so.

Board Game
29th March 2020
(As in.. A board made of cards!)
Move around the Card Board and score points as you go.
Points are awarded when you land on an unturned card, based on the card's value (Ace = 1, Jack = 11, Queen = 12, King = 13)
If you land on a Diamond, you'll earn twice as much. A Heart will give you another go. Landing on a Spade will cause you to Lose the points, whilst landing on a Club will award the points to all the other players.
The winner is the player with the most points, once...

Right, I've had this idea bubbling about for a week or so.
It's almost fermented, but I think I should be able to figure out what's going to happen along the way.

I finally got away to the getaway island, last night.
Isle Plat looks like it might become a lovely little island, but is currently full of weeds, and other nasty things that I need to take care of.
What a lovely little island, though.
A highly recommended getaway.

A decade is over, and what have I done?
373 games, created a new blogging script for here, rewritten the Socoder forum, started a few new sites and more!
Oh, and a brain tumour!
It's been a wild and crazy decade, and over the next few days I'll be looking back at the best (and worst) games from the decade.

Place all 40 cards (Ace to 10, all four suits) within the grid.
Create "Jimps", matches between adjacent cards, to score points. Multiple Jimps score bonus points, and you can rack up combos by placing more multiples after each other.
You can Play Jimper in the Shoebox, under Misc.
I was tempted to add it to the Card Games section, but felt it was more Puzzle than Card, so it went into the Misc like Cardagain is..

A simple enough solitaire game.
13 piles are placed onto the table, with any Kings being pushed to the bottom of the pile.
You can shuffle the cards around the table, one at a time, placing a card onto a card one-higher, as long as it is NOT of the same suit.
eg, you can place a Nine of Diamonds on top of a Ten of Hearts, Clubs or Spades, but NOT onto a Ten of Diamonds.
The four foundation piles work as standard, and must be increased from Ace to King in the same su...

Gather up the card into the Foundation spaces, in the usual Ace to King manner.
The challenge here is that each of the "table" piles can only hold 3 cards.
Move them around to reach the required cards for the Foundations, by shifting the topmost card onto an allowable space.
Cards can be placed atop another card either one value above or below, of any suit.

Can you clear the pyramid?!

What a happy title for a card game!!
Fairly complex rules ahead, but it's actually really simple once you get the hang of it.
Your aim in this game is to remove all "Pay off" cards from your side of the table. (They're the cards on the bottom left)
To do so, move cards onto the Center Piles (the three in the middle), starting from Ace and moving up to Queen. These can be of any suit, and if you place a King, it acts as a wildcard, becoming the next number in the sequence.
Y...

As with last week's Shoebox game, I actually uploaded it about mid-day, yesterday, but haven't yet officially posted about it.
If you're the nosey sort, keep an eye on Shoebox on a Friday, and you might catch a glimpse of the next game, before it's properly finished.
I first wanted to double check everything, and that's best done on the iPad, whilst sat riding my little foot-pedal-doohickey.
