DevelopmentsEver since they updated the server to the new version, there's been oodles of bugs and quirks around the GameJolt site. It's getting so bad that I've now started to receive customer support requests via twitter and email! Not a good sign! If you're seeing the following when trying to play HTML5 based games on GameJolt, it isn't my fault!! Recent changes to how OUYA works, (SDK updates, Razer buying them out, the new Razer Forge Cortex stuff, and more) have rendered the old OUYA target... a bit broken.
The old controller code no longer works 100% of the time on the new Razer Forge, so I took some time rejigging the target, and making it a bit more compatible.

DevelopmentsThere are now 26 games in the Beta Collexion. o/hurrayo/ Over the course of today, I'm going to be playing the games over and over and over, to check for bugs and ensure they're as nicely playable as they oughta be, and then it'll be time to upload it. I'll probably give it the weekend before doing all the uploading, giving me plenty of time to pick out any weird oddities along the way, but all should be good to go by then, so review time shouldn't be "too" long.. .. hopefully...Views 11, Upvotes 3

DevelopmentsSince the XP era, I've been using the Microsoft SyncToy tool to do all my backups, and for the most part it's been doing a damn good job of keeping everything duplicated, over the many different harddrives/NAS's that I've gradually destroyed through the years. A few days ago, however, it started behaving very oddly, and I'm not really sure why. DevelopmentsFeckin' Android!!! So, I thought I had my multiplayer code all working and good and stuff, but apparently a quick test by Team PlayJam has revealed unexpected slowdown and broken-ness. DevelopmentsAnother day fiddling with the base code for my NewYA Monkey-X target. Most of the issues that the FlarePlay is bringing up appear to be related to the fact that the devkit they're using is leaving multitasking games running in the background, thus it all eventually clogs up. The actual retail unit instead does what OUYA/GameStick normally does, and closes all apps before launching the next. DevelopmentsI've never had to properly debug an Android device, before, so yesterday's attempts were new ground for me. Usually when one of my games break, I can easily repeat the break, and figure out exactly why it's happening, but feedback from PlayJam over my games crashing on their latest device, have had me somewhat baffled. DevelopmentsThe first of my games finally passed through PlayJam/GameStick review, yesterday. (Good to know that ONLY took 5 days, even though I was on "the fast track"!! Compare that to the fact that OUYA's reviewed all 5 of the games I've so far uploaded!) A very thorough review, where the only complaints were as follows. 1. DevelopmentsHere's, approximately, the insane list of things that did/didn't happen, yesterday. 1. Compile first of about 40 games for the big OUYA Fixup. Went easy enough, and the new controls seem to work just fine. Woot! 2. Upload to OUYA. Didn't work. The whole Certificate thing stopped me, so instead I asked Team OUYA to DELETE ALL MY GAMES!!
